FAQs on Body Fluid and Circulation NEET Questions

1. Describe body fluids. What are different types of body fluids?

Body fluids are fluids like lymph, blood, saliva, etc. Body Fluids are produced within the body and then are circulated within the body or are being secreted outside the body. Lymph and Blood are considered to be the two most important body fluids overall. Blood has plasma, red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Lymph does not have any colour, that is it is colourless and it is circulated inside the lymphatic vessels of the body.

There are different types of body fluids but the two major ones are listed below:

1. Lymph

2. Blood: The blood is described by the four components:

  • Plasma

  • RBC

  • WBC

  • Platelets

2. Define the types of the circulation system.

Circulation is nothing but the movement of blood via vessels present in the body. This helps in carrying nutrients and glasses, and also helps in removing the waste materials from various organs of the body. There are two types of circulatory systems:

1. Open Circulatory System

In this type of system, the blood flows via the body cavity. There are vessels and this kind of system is generally found in insects.

2. Closed Circulatory System

In this type of system, the blood flows from the tube-like vessels. The pressure of blood is high unlike in an open system. This kind of system is found in all vertebrates.

3. Explain Hypertension and Coronary Heart Disease

Hypertension

This term simply means High Blood Pressure. In general, high blood pressure or hypertension will not show any early symptoms in the patients. But hypertension is very harmful as it damages the heart and other crucial organs of the body. In this condition, the blood flows out at high pressure.

Coronary Heart Disease

This disease affects the artery of human beings. This happens because the fats, cell debris, cholesterol, and other clotting agents make the arteries hard. This is not good because once the arteries are blocked completely because of these reasons, there will be no blood flow and the individual might die because of this.

4. Do you know about the heart attack?

Yes, a heart attack is called Myocardial Infarction in medical terms. This condition is caused when the blood is not able to reach the heart because of the blockage in the passage of blood flow, this causes a heart attack. This attack leads to damaging the heart muscles completely. The reason for this condition is obesity, high blood pressure, stress, cholesterol and even smoking are major factors. People should take precautions, they should exercise daily and should keep an eye on their diet as well.
