Read on to find a few essential pointers regarding the examination centre for 2019 NEET.

NEET Entrance Exam Centres

NEET is one of the most prestigious medical entrance exams in the country. It provides the candidates with an opportunity to get enrolled in renowned medical institutions for their graduation and post-graduation courses. Hence, students from all over the country burn their midnight oil preparing for this examination.

This entrance exam was previously conducted by CBSE and had about 84 NEET UG exam centres, which increased to 150 in the year 2018. Come 2019, this responsibility shifted to NTA who has raised its number to 154.

Applying and choosing an exam centre is as important as preparing for the entrance. Here is why -

  • Why is NEET 2019 exam centre so crucial for candidates?

  • There are two reasons why the exam centres for this entrance are considered so important -

  • a. NEET is a widely availed examination and preferred by all medical aspirants. However, the accessibility of the examination centre becomes one critical issue. All those candidates who appear for the entrance exam from the distant corners of the globe often find it difficult to reach the examination centre in time. And, considering the strict rules put up by the NTA to maintain the decorum of the examination hall, these applicants are unable to sit for the exams.

  • To prevent any such unfortunate occurrences, several exam centres for NEET have been provided as options for the candidates.

  • b. Being able to give an exam in one’s vernacular language gives candidates the required advantage to pass the examination with flying colours. Thus, candidates look forward to being able to write their examination in languages that they are comfortable in. With examination centres in their respective states, students can now attempt their exam in their preferred language.

  • Hence, it is on these 2 critical grounds of accessibility and comfort that examination centres become such an important criterion for NEET.
