1. Who is Nandu?
Nandu is a newborn calf in the herd of elephants. When he first opened his eyes, he thought that his mother’s big legs are tree trunks. He is the one who narrates the story.
2. Why did Nandu get wet?
His elder cousins were playing in the water. Nandu was feeling reluctant to enter the water source. His mother pushed him a little. Suddenly, a splash of water fell on him. It was his naughty cousins who threw water at him using their trunks.
