Summary of The Valley of Flowers
Uttarakhand is a hilly area.
In the hills of Uttarakhand there is a place where there are flowers everywhere.
This place is called the ‘Valley of Flowers’.
At some places red flowers are blooming on bushes.
While in other places white flowers peep out between the stones.
There are wide areas carpeted with the brightest yellow flowers.
Somewhere, blue flowers shine like tiny stars between the grasses.
All this seems like a beautiful dream.
These flowers bloom only for a few weeks in the year.

The design shown in the picture below is called ‘Madhubani Art”.
It is a very old form of folk art.
There is a district in Bihar called Madhubani.
During festivals and happy occasions, the houses' walls and courtyards are painted with such pictures in Madhubani.
These paintings are made out of a paste of powdered rice.
Then color is added to it.
The colors used in the Madhubani painting are very special.
Because everything is natural here.
To make them, indigo (Neel), turmeric (Haldi), colors from flowers and trees, etc., are used.
The paintings show human beings, animals, trees, flowers, birds, etc.
It shows the beauty of nature.
