1. मालवा में जब सब जगह बरसात की झड़ी लगी रहती है तब मालवा के जनजीवन पर इसका क्या प्रभाव पड़ता है .? 

उत्तर-जब मालवा के हर जगह बारिश होती है , तो मालवा के जीवन पर सकारात्मक प्रभाव पड़ता है । हालांकि चारों तरफ पानी पानी हो जाने के कारण थोड़ी परेशानी जरूर होती है। बारिश इतनी ज्यादा होती है कि मालवा के सारे नदी नाले तालाब लबालब भर जाते हैं। और पानी घरों में तक घुस जाता है। लेकिन फिर भी यह बारिश के दिनों में उत्साह देखने को मिलता है क्योंकि जब बारिश होती है तो फसलें लहलहा उठती है।गांव में सभी तालाबों को में लबालब पानी भर जाता है। जो आगे फसलों और वहाँ के इंसानों के लिए बहुत उपयोगी होता है। मालवा के लोगों को लगता है कि भगवान बहुत प्रसन्न हैं वहाँ की बारिश मालवा को समृद्ध बनाती है।

2. अब मालवा में वैसा पानी नहीं गिरता जैसा गिरा करता था।उसके क्या कारण है ?

उत्तर-मालवा में अब अधिक बरसात न होने के कई कारण हैं-

क) मालवा में बढ़ते उद्योगीकरण ने वहाँ के पर्यावरण को काफी नुकसान पहुंचाया है। जिससेप्रावरण में भयंकर बदलाव देखने को मिले हैं। यह भी एक प्रमुख कारण है। 

ख) हमारे वायुमंडल प्रदूषण के कारण कार्बन डाइऑक्साइड गैस की बढ़ोतरी हो रही है यह गर्म गैस होती है, जिसके कारण वायुमंडल और हमारे धरती की ओजोन परत को नुकसान पहुँच रहा है।

ग) बढ़ती जनसंख्या के कारण कंक्रीट के निर्माण में अधिकता आई है हम लगातार जंगलों और पेड़ों की कटाई कर रहे हैं जिसके कारण मानसून में परिवर्तन हो रहा है यह भी एक प्रमुख कारण है बारिश में कमी आने का।

3. हमारे आज के इंजीनियर ऐसा क्यों समझते हैं कि वह पानी का प्रबंध जानते हैं और पहले जमाने के लोग कुछ नहीं जानते थे?

उत्तर-आजकल यह व्यापक स्तर पर सामाजिक मानसिकता हमारे चारों तरफ फैली हुई है कि नई पीढ़ी समझती है कि पुरानी पीढ़ी को कुछ आता नहीं है। उसी प्रकार हमारे आजकल के इंजीनियर अपने तकनीक ज्ञान को बहुत उच्च स्तर का मानते हैं। उनको लगता है कि आज ज्ञान पर विज्ञान का पूरा अधिकार है जल संग्रह और जल प्रदूषण को खत्म करने के आधुनिक तरीके उन्हें मालूम है पहले के लोग बस प्रकृति पर निर्भर रहते थे आज रोज़ नई तकनीक और नए आविष्कार हो रहे हैं पुराने जमाने में लोगों को तकनीकी ज्ञान नहीं था। व्यक्त करने की शिक्षा से अनजान थे। स्वयं एक गलतफहमी में जीते है। आजकल के इंजीनियर मानते हैं कि पश्चिमी सभ्यता ने ज्ञान का प्रसार किया है। भारत के लोग तो अज्ञानी थे। रिनसां बाद से ही लोगों के अंदर ज्ञान का फैलाव हुआ।

4. ‘मालवा में विक्रमादित्य,  भोज और मूंज रिनेसा के बहुत पहले हो गए।’ पानी के रखरखाव के लिए उन्होंने क्या प्रबंध किए ?

उत्तर-मालवा के राजा राजस्थान की प्राकृतिक समस्याओं और जरूरतों को बहुत करीब से जानते और समझते थे राजा विक्रमादित्य, भोज और मुंज आदि राजाओं ने वहाँ के पठारों की कमजोरियों और ताकतों को पहचानना और वहाँ जनता के हित में कई आश्चर्यजनक कार्य किए। वे मालवा के भौगोलिक स्थिती को समझा और जल संग्रह के लिए बेहतर इंतजाम किए। उसने तालाब, कुएँ और बावड़ियों का निर्माण किया। की वह बारिश के पानी को संग्रहित करके रख सकें। संग्रहित पानी को वह पूरे साल उपयोग में ला सकते है जिससे उन्हें पानी की कमी की समस्या का सामना नही करना पड़ेगा । इसका एक बड़ा उदाहरण हम मालवा को कह सकते है।

5.‘हमारी आजकी सभ्यता इन नदियों को अपने गंदे पानी के नाले बना रही है।’ क्यों और कैसे?

उत्तर-निस्संदेह आज के युग एक प्रगति युग है, लेकिन यह प्रगति हमारी सबसे बड़ी समस्या का कारण भी है, हम इस प्रगति के लिए प्रकृति को बहुत नुकसान पहुंचा रहे हैं। प्रदूषण एक विकट समस्या है, जो आयदिन बड़ती जा रही है। जल, भूमि और आकाश सभी पूरी तरह से प्रदूषण के प्रभाव से प्रभावित है, मानवीय जानता है कि जल मनुष्य का जीवन है। इसके बावजूद मनुष्य ने इस अमूल्य जल संसाधन को भी प्रदुषित किया है सदियों से जिन नदियों का पानी जल का एक बड़ा और मुख्य स्रोत रहा है जो केवल मनुष्य के लिए ही नहीं बल्कि सभी प्राणियों के जीवन प्रणाली से जुड़ा है। लेकिन आज कल कारखानों का जहरीला पदार्थ और शहरों का गंदा पानी नदियों में बहा दिया जाता है। निरंतर प्रक्रिया नदियों के पानी को इतना प्रदुषित और विषाक्त बना दिया है कि यह न केवल पीने योग्य नहीं है, बल्कि इससे भयानक बीमारियां भी होने लगी है, यहाँ तक कि इसमें रहने वाले जानवर भी विलुप्त होने के कगार पर है। सरकार और कई सामाजिक संगठन समय समय पर इसे बचाने की कोशीश करते रहते हैं, लेकिन जब तक आम लोग सचेत नहीं होंगे, जब तक हर व्यक्ति पानी के मूल्य को समझना शुरू नहीं करेगा, तब वो दिन दूर नहीं जब यह नदियां नालों का रूप ले लेगी। शहर के किनारे बहने वाली कई नदियों को हमने नाला बना दिया है और यमुना नदी इसका मुख्य उदाहरण है हमें जागरूक होकर नदियों को नदी ही बने रहने देना होगा वरना हम दिन प्रतिदिन जल की समस्याओं और बीमारियों के जाल में फंसते जाएंगे।

6. लेखक को क्यों लगता है कि ‘हम जिसे विकास की उद्योग इक सभ्यता कहते हैं वह उजाड़ की  अपसभ्यता है?’ आप क्या मानते हैं?

उत्तर- इस कथन में लेखक के विचार बहुत हद तक सही है। हम देखते है की जहाँ एक नई तकनीक आती है वह अपने साथ कई ऐसी समस्यायें भी लाती है जो मानव जीवन के विकास से ज्यदा उसके विनाश में योगदान देती है । मनुष्य प्रकृति से सब कुछ लेना चाहता है परंतु उसे कुछ देना नहीं चाहता अपने विकास के साथ साथ मनुष्य प्रकृति का पूर्ण रूप से शोषण करना चाहता है। मनुष्य किक सबसे बड़ी समस्या यह है की वह केवल आज के बारे में स्वयं के बारे में सोचना चाहता है। वह कल की परवाह नहीं करते की अगर आज वह अपनी तकनीकी से अपना जीवन आसन बनाना चाहता है तो आगे चल कर वही तकनीक एक विनाशक के रूप में सामने आ सकती है। इसलिए मनुष्य को इसपर विचार करना चाहिए की जिसे हम विकास की उध्योग सभ्यता कहते है वह वास्तव में एक उजाड़ की अपसभ्यता है।

7. धरती का वातावरण करम क्यों हो रहा है? इसमें यूरोप और अमेरिका की क्या भूमिका है? टिप्पणी कीजिये।

उत्तर- मनुष्य द्वारा प्रकृति के साथ छेड़छाड़ से आज पूरी दुनिया में ग्लोबल वार्मिंग का खतरा मंडरा रहा है। दुनियाभर के वैज्ञानिक इस भयावह स्थिती से परेशान है। इसके कारण पृथ्वी का वातावरण तेजी से गर्म होता जा रहा है। मनुष्यों ने अपनी सुविधाओं के नाम पर जो कुछ भी किया है,वह उनके लिए खतरनाक साबित हो रहा है। वाहनों, हवाई जहाज, बिजली संयंत्रों, उधोगो आदि से अंधाधुन गैसीय उत्सर्जन के कारण वातावरण में कार्बन डाइऑक्साइड गैस की मात्रा बढ़ रही है और मिथेन, नाइट्रोजन ऑक्साइड आदि ग्रीन हाउस गैसों की मात्रा में वृद्धि हो रही है, जिसके कारण इन्हें गैसों का आवरण घनघोर होता जा रहा है। यह आवरण सूर्य की परावर्तित किरणों को रोक रहा है, जिससे पृथ्वी का तापमान बढ़ रहा है। बढ़ते तापमान की तुलना में ग्लैशियरों की बर्फ़ तेजी से पिघल रही है। जिसके कारण आने वाले समय में जल संकट उत्पन्न हो सकता है। वनों की कटाई की संख्या में बढ़ोतरी भी दूसरी सबसे बडा कारण है। वन प्राकृतिक रूप से कार्बन डाइऑक्साइड की मात्रा को नियंत्रित करते हैं, लेकिन उनके प्राकृतिक  नियंत्रकोंको भी उनकी अंधाधुन कटाई से नष्ट किया जा रहा है। इन गैसों के उत्सर्जन में अमेरिका और यूरोपीय देशों की प्रमुख भूमिका है। इनमें से अधिकांश गैस वहाँ से निकल रही है। लेकिन वह इसे स्वीकार नहीं करते है।
