1. कोईयां किसे कहते हैं? इसकी विशेषताएं बताइए।

उत्तर: कोइयां पानी में उगने वाला एक फूल हैं जिसे ' कुमुद ' और ' कोकाबेली ' के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।

इसकी विशेषताएं निम्नलिखित हैं – 

( क) पानी से भरे गड्डो में यह फूल आसानी से उगता हैं।

(ख) कोइयां भारत के अधिकांश भागों में लाया जाता है।

(ग) इस फूल में बहुत आकर्षक गंध आती हैं।

2.' बच्चे का मां का दूध पीना सिर्फ दूध पीना नहीं, मां के सारे संबंधो का जीवन – चरित होता है ' टिप्पणी कीजिए।

उत्तर: मां और बच्चे के रिश्ते से पवित्र और शुद्ध रिश्ता दुनिया में ओर कोई रिश्ता नहीं होता है।मां भगवान से भी महान होती है। मां का दूध अमृत से भी बड़कर होता है।बच्चे का अपनी मां के साथ भ्ट घरा रिश्ता होता है।यह रिश्ता तभी जुड़ जाता है जब बच्चा मां की कोख में होता है।जब बच्चा इस दुनिया में आता हैं, तो छह माह तक अपनी मां के दूध पर निर्भर होता है।इसके बाद वह तीन से चार साल तक वह मां का दूध पीता है।जब मां बच्चे को दुधपान कराती हैं।तब वह बच्चे को अपने आंचल से छुपा लेती हैं।जब बच्चा रोता हैं, हसंता हैं, खाता है,पीता है,और जब मां के साथ खेलता है तो उससे मां और बच्चे के बीच नए रिश्ते को जीवन देता है। बच्चा मां की गोद में दूध पीते हुए अपनी मां का स्पर्श और गरमजोशी को महसूस करता है।किसी भी बच्चे मां के लिए,उसकी मां उसकी पोषण मित्र और एक महिला होती हैं। मां का दूध पीने वाला बच्चा मानव जीवन का सार्थक बनाता हैं।

3. बिस्नाथ पर क्या अत्याचार हो गया था?

उत्तर: बिसनाथ अभी भी मां के दूध पर निर्भर ही था कि उसके छोटे भाई का जन्म हो गया।छोटे भाई के जन्म के साथ, वह अपनी मां के दूध से भी वंचित हो गया।बिसनाथ अभी खुद बच्चे थे पर निसंदेह उनका भाई उनसे छोटा था।इसलिए 6 महीने तक मा के दूध पर उसका एकाधिकार बना रहना था।बिसनाथ के लिए यह किसी अत्याचार से कम नहीं था, जो सही भी था, क्योंकि अब उसका छोटा भाई उनके हिस्से का दूध पीता था।यह बिसनाथ को यातना के सामन था, क्योंकि अब उन्हें  गाय के दूध पर निर्भर रहना पड़ता था।

4. गरमी और लू से बचने के उपायों का विवरण दीजिए।क्या आप भी उन्न उपायों से परिचित हैं?

उत्तर: गरमी और लू से बचने के लिए निम्नलिखित उपाय अपनाए जाते थे – 

1. प्याज को धोती और कुर्ते में गाठ लगाकर बांधा जाता था।

2. कच्चे आम को आग में पका कर उसका रस बनाकर पिया जाता था।

3. कच्चे आम को पकाकर, तलकर, उबालकर उससे सर को धोया जाता था।

4. कच्चे आम को भूना जाता था और उसको गुड और चीनी के साथ मिलाया जाता था।इससे शरीर पर लगाया जाता था और स्नान किया जाता था।

प्याज बांधने,आम पना पीने, भुने हुए आम से सिर धोने के उपाय से तो मैं कहीं ना कहीं अवगत हूं पर शरीर पर लगाने और नहाने वाले उपाय ना तो कहीं देखे और ना ही सुने।

5. लेखक बिसनाथ ने किन आधारो पर अपनी मां कि तूलना बतख के साथ की हैं?

उत्तर: जिस तरह बतख अपने अंडो की देखभाल करती हैं ठीक उसी प्रकार बिसनाथ की मां भी अपने बच्चो की देखभाल बत्तख कि तरह करती हैं।वास्तव में,बतख की इस तथ्य की विशेषता हैं की वह अंडे देने के बाद पानी में नहीं जाती हैं और जब तक अंडों से बच्चे नहीं निकलते वह उन्हें सेकती रहती हैं।वह अपने अंडों को पंखों के बीच रखती हैं,वह अपने बच्चो की सुरक्षा के लिए सतर्कता के साथ साथ कोमलता से काम करती हैं।एक ओर जहां वह सतर्क रहती हैं, वहीं वह अंडों में से निकलने वाले बच्चो को किसी भी तरह के नुकसान से भी बचाती हैं।इसी तरह बिसनाथ की मा भी बच्चो को सुरक्षा देती हैं।बच्चो को कोमलता के साथ खिलाती हैं , उनके साथ सोती हैं,उनका पूरा खयाल रखती हैं,उनके सारे काम भी करती हैं।इसलिए बिसनाथ ने अपनी मा कि तुलना बतख से कि हैं।

6. बिस्कोहर में हुई बरसात का जो वर्णन बिसनाथ ने किया है उसका वर्णन अपने शब्दो में कीजिए ।

उत्तर: बिस्कोहर में बारिश सामान्य तरीके से नहीं होती,बड़े ही अलग और भयंकर तरीके से होती है।

पहले आसमान में गंघोर बादल छा जाते है और फिर वह गरजते हैं। अगर दिन के समय बदल क्या गए तो मानो ऐसा लगता है जैसे रात हो गई हो।उसके बाद तेज बारिश होने लगती हैं, तबला, मृदंग ,सितार जैसी बारिश कि आवाजे सुनाई देती हैं,लेकिन जब बारिश बहुत तेज होती है तब मानो ऐसा लगता है कि घोड़े बहुत तेज दोड़ते हुए घर की तरफ आ रहे हैं।बारिश के कारण प्रत्येक स्थान पानी पानी हो जाता है। अगर एक बार बारिश शुरू हो गई तो कई दिनों तक होती रहती हैं।जिसके कारण घर की छत उड़ जाती हैं,ज़मीन धस जाती हैं,नदी और नाले भर जाते हैं,नदियों में बाढ आ जाती हैं। गाव के सभी पशु पक्षी बारिश का आनंद लेते हुए भागते हुए नजर आते हैं।पहली बारिश से चरम रोग ठीक हो जाता हैं।

7. फूल केवल गंध ही नहीं देते बल्कि दवा भी करते हैं,कैसे?

उत्तर: हमने देखा कि लोगों का मानना है कि फूल केवल अपनी सुगंध और रंग के कारण ही पहचाने जाते हैं।लेकिन लेखक इस बात से सहमत नहीं हैं कि फूल केवल गंध ही देते हैं बल्कि दवा का काम भी करते है। वह ' भर भंडा ' फूल के बारे में कहते है कि इस फूल का दूध अगर आंखो में डाल दिया जाए तो आंखो से सम्बन्धित सभी बीमारियां ख़तम हो जाती हैं।नीम के फूल को अगर चेचक के उपर  लगाया जाए तो चेचक ठीक हो जाता है। बेर के फूलों को सूंघने मात्र से ही ततैए का डंक ख़तम हो जाता जाता है।

8.' प्रकृति सजीव नारी बन गई ' – इस कथन के संदर्भ में प्रकृति, नारी, और सौंदर्य की मान्यताओं को स्पष्ट कीजिए।

उत्तर: लेखक की नजर में प्रकृति,नारी,सौंदर्य की कुछ मान्यताएं हैं जो आपस में जुड़ी हुई है।जब लेखक दस साल का था,तब उसने एक महिला को देखा था जो उससे दस साल बड़ी थी और अद्भुत सुंदर थी।संतोषी भाई के आगं में एक जूही कि बेल थी, उससे आने वी सुगंध लेखक के जीवन तक को महका गई थी।यदि लेखक चांदनी रात में बेल पर फूल खिलता हुए चांदनी को देखता है तो उन्हें प्रतीत होता है कि चांदनी खुद जूही के फूलों का रूप लेकर एक लता के रूप में उग गई है।यह लेखक प्रकृति को जूही,खुशबू,स्त्री और लता के रूप में देखता है।उनके लिए, वह अलग नहीं है बल्कि सब परस्पर जुड़े हुए हैं।वह प्रकृति में स्त्री को देखता है और स्त्री को प्रकृति के रूप में ।

9. ऐसी कौन सी स्मृति हैं जो लेखक को मृत्यु का बौध अजीब तौर से जुड़ा मिलता हैं।?

उत्तर:  लेखक ने एक बार गांव में ठुमरी सुनी।ठुमरी सुनकर लेखक को रोने का मन करने लगा।लेखक कहता है कि ठुमरी को सुनते ही ,उसे उस महिला की याद आती है जो अपने मृत्यु कि गोद में गए पति को याद करती हैं।उससे बस अपने प्रिय से मिलने का इंतजार रहता है।उसका प्रियतम हर रूप में उसके साथ हैं।इस स्मृति को याद करके, लेखक अजीब तरह से मौत के अहसास से जुड़ जाता हैं।
