FAQs on CBSE Sample Papers for Class 12 Chemistry with Solution 2023-24
1. Explain Intrinsic Semiconductors and Extrinsic Semiconductors.
semiconductor is a material that has properties between conductors and insulators. There are two types of semiconductors. They are:
Intrinsic Semiconductors: The semiconductor in which the number of electrons is equal to several holes is called an intrinsic semiconductor. It doesn't have any impurities.
Extrinsic Semiconductors: The semiconductors in which the impurities are doped to make it conduct the electricity is called extrinsic semiconductors. The Group-III elements are used to make the p-type semiconductor and Group-V elements to make the n-type semiconductor.
2. Explain the Property of Anti-Ferromagnetism.
Anti-ferromagnetism is one of the types of magnetism. The types of magnetism are classified on the alignment of spins and their magnitude. In the anti-ferromagnetism, the spins are placed opposite to each other and the spins facing upwards will be equal to the spins facing downwards in the magnetic domain. The magnitude of the upward and downward spins will be equal and will tend to cancel each other. It is the opposite process of Ferromagnetism. In Ferromagnetism, all the spins are aligned in the same direction in the magnetic domain.
