About BITSAT 2019

BITSAT short for Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test 2019 is an online test (CBT) held for admission into Integrated First Degree Programs offered at the campuses of BITS Pilani that are in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. This exam is ideal for candidates seeking admission to undergraduate engineering programmes in a deemed university. The BITSAT Application Form 2019 is likely to be released in the third week of December 2018. Candidates are advised to check the BITSAT Eligibility Criteria 2019 before proceeding to fill the application form.


The BITSAT Slot Booking will start from fourth week of March. Once done with the slot booking, you can then download the BITSAT 2019 Hall Ticket. The interesting thing about the exam is the BITSAT 2019 Result is announced in two forms – one is displayed immediately after the test completion in the form of score and another in admit or wait list format for BITSAT Admissions 2019. BITSAT 2019 Important Dates

Along with the exam date and you should also be aware of the BITSAT Exam Timings 2019. BITSAT will be held in two slots each day. The first session starts from 9:00 AM -12:00 noon, while the second slot’s timing is from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM.

BITSAT Eligibility Criteria 2019

Before filling in the application form, make sure that you meet all the prescribed eligibility criteria to avoid further problems. The main points of BITSAT 2019 Eligibility are given below:

 

Qualifying Exam - First Degree Programmes except B.Pharm (Hons.)

Aspirants must have passed Class 12th of 10+2 system from a recognized central or state board or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects and adequate proficiency in English.

 

B.Pharm (Hons.):
Must have passed class 12th of 10+2 System from a recognized institute with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects. However, candidates with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics can also apply for Pharmacy program.

 

Minimum Marks required in Qualifying exam: Aspirants should have scored a minimum of 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Furthermore, a candidate should have scored minimum of 60% in each paper.

 

Age Limit: There is no age limit specified as such, given that only those candidates who are appearing or have already passed their 10+2 are eligible for the exam.

 

BITSAT 2019 Exam Pattern

BITSAT 2019 will be conducted in the online mode with total of 150 questions divided in sections of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning. The exam is of three hours and there will be no sectional time limit.

 

Nature of Questions and Marking SchemeBITSAT 2019 Questions will be of objective type. You will be awarded 3 marks for each correct response whereas, 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.

BITSAT Registration Date and Process

The BITSAT 2019 Registration Process will start in the last week of December 2018 or from first week of January 2019. The BITSAT Application Process is completely online. Below given are the steps to fill the BITSAT Application Form 2019

 

Step 1: Filling up the Application Form

  • • Go to the BITSAT Official Website and click on ‘Apply Here’ for BITSAT 2019.
  • • Enter your personal details like name, gender, DOB, email id and nationality.
  • • Next, enter your academic details like score, name of the passing institute, year of passing etc

Step 2: Scanned Images & Signature Uploading

Before uploading the scanned image, make sure its size is between 4 kb to 50 kb and the signature’s image size is between 1 kb t 0 30 kb

Step 3: Choosing the Test Centre

  • • You can choose 3 test centres according to your preference (not applicable if you choose Dubai; then you won’t be able to select any other centres)
  • • Crosscheck the details and confirm submission
  • • Note the ‘Unique Registration Number’

Step 4: Application Fee Payment

  • • You can either make an offline payment via ICICI Bank Challan payment
  • • It can be done online also using a Credit or Debit card or Net Banking
  • • Once you have successfully done the payment, don’t forget to take a printout of your filled application form for future reference

Fee Structure of BITSAT

Admission Fee (One time) – INR 16,500
Semester Fee (Per Semester) – INR 42, 800
NOTE: Admission Fee (One time) and Semester Fee (Per Semester) need to be paid together once you have been offered the admission. Thus, in total you need to pay INR 59,300. The payment can be done using Credit Card/Debit card or Net Banking through the Online Application Centre.

BITSAT Slot Booking 2019

BITSAT 2019 Slot booking will take place on the official website of BITS. In order to book a slot for BITSAT 2019, you need to login to the official website using your application number, gender, date of birth and email id. Once the slot is booked, no requests for any changes in the slots will be granted. Also, the BITSAT Slot Booking Process is based on first cum first served basis. Therefore, it is highly advised to book your slots at the earliest.

 

BITSAT Admit Card 2019

The BITSAT 2019 Admit Card will be released by BITS Pilani on the official website only if you have completed the slot booking process successfully. The BITSAT Hall Ticket 2019 is a very important document which needs to be preserved till the exam. The admit card will contain details of the candidate like the name, roll number, date and time of the exam, exam center address and guidelines related to the entrance exam.

 

BITSAT Result 2019

The BITSAT 2019 result will be released in two parts. One which can be checked at the end of the test which will be in the form of total number of correct and incorrect answers marked. The second will be the merit list of BITSAT 2019 for admission which will be released on June 20th, 2019.

 

BITSAT Cutoff 2019

The BITSAT cutoff is usually the qualifying or the minimum marks needed to secure by a candidate to get into the rounds of admission. The BITSAT Cut off will be released for each iteration or seat allotment round and would have two parts – simple round-specific and wait-list cut off.
