The schedule for BITS counselling 2020 and BITSAT seat allotment has been released by BITS Pilani. The BITSAT counselling and seat allotment are going to be conducted in an online mode by the college authorities. There will be six rounds of BITS counselling 2020 and seat allotment, and the results will be released in subsequent iterations. Candidates will be allotted seats on the basis of their exam performance, provided preference of academic programs and campuses, and seat availability. It may be hereby noted that only those candidates with a valid BITSAT score can take part in the BITS counselling 2020.
BITSAT 2020 was conducted in an online mode and the results have been declared on September 29, 2020. The window for providing the 12th board examination marks and candidate’s preferences for academic programs and campuses was active from September 19 to September 29, 2020. The correction window for editing the preference of B.Tech courses and campus was valid until October 1, 2020. The state and central board toppers will get direct admission to BITS Pilani. As stated above, the candidates qualifying in the BITSAT 2020 examination will be eligible to participate in the counselling and seat allotment process for getting admission to B. Tech programs at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science. The qualifying candidates will have to fill their details in the BITSAT 2020 Counselling form for participating in the counselling process. They will have to fill in their preference for BITS campuses and academic courses in the form. Also, they will have to send photocopies of their BITSAT 2020 application form and other relevant documents to the counselling authorities. Candidates who have completed their +2 in 2019 and 2020 are eligible to appear in BITSAT 2020. The academic requirements for BITS Pilani counselling are as follows.
Candidates should have scored a minimum of 60 percent of marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, or Biology in their +2 examination.
Also, they should have a minimum of 75 percent of marks in the PCB or PCM group in their +2 examination.

Candidates eligible to participate in the BITS counselling 2020 process should fill in their basic personal, communication, and academic details in the counselling form. The registration procedure for the BITSAT counselling, along with BITS choice filling, and BITSAT seat allotment are discussed in the following steps, for the reference of eligible candidates.
Step I: The first step to participate in the BITS Pilani counselling is to fill the counselling form. Candidates qualifying in BITSAT 2020, will have to fill in their name, contact number, email address, and other relevant information in the counselling form. They must verify all the information provided in the counselling form before submitting it, as there is no correction window available to edit the form.
Step II: The next step of the BITSAT counselling 2020 is to make the payment of the counselling fee. Candidates can make the payment in an online or offline mode. They can pay through debit cards, credit cards, or through internet banking. For the e-challan mode, candidates can make their payment at any of the branches of ICICI bank.
Step III: Eligible candidates will have to provide their 12th board exam marks and related details while registering for BITS counselling 2020. Candidates whose 12th board results are not yet released will have to resend a copy of the submitted counselling form along with their 12th board marks. They should take a printout of the counselling form and mention of re-submission on it when they send it along with 12th board marks. No other counselling fees will be charged for re-submission.
Step IV: Candidates will have to provide their preference for B. Tech programs and college campus at the time of registration for counselling. These preferences will be taken into consideration for the BITSAT seat allotment process. Along with the BITSAT 2020 counselling form, candidates will have to submit their 10th and 12th board exam pass certificates.
The BITSAT seat allotment 2020 results will be released in an online mode. Candidates can check the status of their seat allotment on the official website of BITSAT 2020. They will have to log in with their credentials (BITSAT 2020 application number and password) and select the link for their respective iteration. There will be six iterations for BITSAT seat allotment and the BITS Pilani seat matrix and the waitlist will be released for every iteration. Candidates will have to pay the required fees for confirming their seat allotment, within the stipulated timeline.
Candidates who will not be allotted any seat in the initial iterations and will be considered for the next rounds of BITS seat allotment will be waitlisted by the authorities. Therefore, after each round of seat allotment, a waitlist will be released. Also, the state board toppers and central board toppers will get direct admission to BITS Pilani. Board toppers with PCB subject group will get direct admission to B. Pharm courses and those with PCM subject group will get direct admission to B. Tech courses.
