NCERT Solutions Class 12 Hindi Antra 2 Chapter 5 poem 

Chapter 5 Poem Ek kam- Satya is written by Shri Vishnu Khare. Through this short poem, 'Ek Kam' the poet has outlined the style of life prevailing in post-independence Indian society after independence. Everything was not the same as what the freedom fighters had imagined, the whole country or the faithful honest and sensitive public fascination was disturbed. The result was that mutual trust, mutual brotherhood and collectivity were replaced by fraud and mutual tussle and an atmosphere of absolute selfishness went on.

The poet finds himself incapable in this matter, even then keeps his sympathy towards the believers, and despite being in a state of not doing anything, he does not want to make himself a threat to the lives of such people. It is also the message of the poem.

In Satya Poem, the poet sought to spread the importance of truth in life through mythological references and letters of Mahabharata, based on the story of the past. It can be said effectively that this poem is proof of this time and society. It has been challenging to identify and hold the truth in it; this poem is proof of it; the fact sometimes looks and sometimes disappears.

Today, there is no static form or identity of truth that can make it permanent. The state of truth has been changing according to things, events, status and characters, anything which is true for one person, the same is probably not true for another. The way it has been attempted to be presented by historical events. 

At the end of Class 12-Hindi Antra 2 Chapter 5, Poem Ek kam-Satya, there are six practice questions asked from Ek kam and six questions from Satya.
