गीत गाने दो मुझे 

1. कंठ रुक रहा है, काल आ रहा है- यह भावना कवि के मन में क्यों आई? 

उत्तर :यह भावना कवि के मन में इसलिए आई क्योंकि उनके अंदर की वेदना उनपर भारी हो रही है, वह तड़प रहे हैं। इस पंक्ति से कवि अपने मन की कठिनाई दर्शाना चाह रहे हैं। उनके जीवन में संघर्ष तथा दुख पीड़ा कभी खत्म नहीं हुए, इस सबके बावजूद उन्होंने उन हालातों का सामना किया परंतु तब भी उन्हें पीछे खिंचा गया जिसके कारण उनके हृदय में जीने की इच्छा समाप्त हो गयी है।

2. 'ठग - ठाकुरों' से कवि का संकेत किसकी ओर है? 

उत्तर : 'ठग - ठाकुरों' से कवि का संकेत उन लोगों की ओर है जिनपर उनको भरोसा था तथा उनसे यह उम्मीद थी कि वह उन्हें कठिन समय में सहारा देंगे तथा संभालेंगे। परंतु उन्हीं लोगों ने उनकी कठिनाईयों को और बढ़ा दिया तथा उनका जीवन अंधकार में डाल दिया। कवि इससे समाज के उन सब लोगों की ओर इशारा कर रहे हैं जो कमज़ोर वर्ग को और ज्य़ादा तोड़ते हैं और उनका जीवन पीड़ा तथा परेशानियों से भर देते हैं। 

3.'जल उठो फिर सींचने को' इस पंक्ति का भाव - सौंदर्य स्पष्ट कीजिए ।

उत्तर : यह पंक्ति हमे दुख पीड़ा को हराकर उससे बाहर निकलने की सीख तथा प्रेरणा देती है। यह पंक्ति हमे सिखाती है कि दुख दर्द को पीछे छोडकर हमें अपने जीवन में आगे बढ़ना चाहिए और इसके लिए इंसान को कभी कोशिश करनी नहीं छोड़नी चाहिए। जीवन में ऐसा कुछ नहीं जिसे व्यक्ति पाना चाहे और उसे मेहनत करके ना मिले, इसलिए हमें अपना दृढ़ निश्चय करना चाहिए तथा कभी हार नहीं माननी चाहिए।

4. प्रस्तुत कविता दुख और निराशा से लड़ने की शक्ति देती है? स्पष्ट कीजिए।

उत्तर : कवि कविता में संघर्ष से लड़कर आगे बढ़ने की शक्ति देते हैं। कविता के माध्यम से यह दर्शाया गया है कि आज का समाज दुख, पीड़ा तथा ऐसे लोगों से भरा हुआ है जो आपको पीछे खिंचने की हर सम्भव कोशिश करेंगे परंतु आपको हार नहीं माननी है और हर कठिनाई से लड़कर बाहर निकलना है और अपनी मंज़िल तक पहुँचना है।

सरोज स्मृति 

1. सरोज के नव - वधु रूप का वर्णन अपने शब्दों में कीजिए।

उत्तर : सरोज विवाह के समय अति सुन्दर लाग रही थी, उसमें उसकी माँ की छवि साफ़ दिखाई दे रही थी। सरोज उस समय अपने जीवन के नए पहलु को देख पा रही थी जिसमें उसके साथ उसके पति थे जिसकी वजह से जो उसके होठों और मन में खुशी थी वह फ़ूट फ़ूट कर बाहर आना चाह रही थी। परंतु नव वधु होने के कारण वह उस खुशी की दबा रही थी। लज्जा के कारण अपनी खुशी दबाने से उसके होठों पर कंपन प्रदर्शित हो रही थी। एक नव वधु के समान ही सरोज की झुकी हुई आँखों में भी चमक दिखाई दे रही थी जो उसे और खूबसूरत बना रही थी।

2. कवि को अपनी स्वर्गीय पत्नी की याद क्यों आई?

उत्तर : कवि को अपनी स्वर्गीय पत्नी की याद अपनी बेटी को दुल्हन के रूप में देखकर आई क्योंकि नव वधु के रूप में सरोज में उसकी माँ की छवि बहुत उभरकर आ रही थी । वे अपनी पत्नी को हर उस पल याद कर रहे थे जहां एक माँ की भूमिका होती है, पने बच्चों के लिए। अपनी पत्नी के साथ शुरू किया गया सफर उन्हें अब मंज़िल तक पहुंचता हुआ दिख रहा था जिसके कारण उन्हें अपनी पत्नी का स्मरण हो आया।

3. 'आकाश बदलकर बना मही' में 'आकाश' और 'मही' शब्द किसकी ओर संकेत करते हैं?

उत्तर : यह दोनों शब्द कवि की पुत्री सरोज की ओर संकेत करते हैं। इनसे कवि कहना चाह रहे हैं कि उनकी स्वर्गीय पत्नी का स्वरूप उनकी बेटी में पूर्ण रूप से दिखाई दे रहा था। वह जो कवितायें लिखते थे, उनमे जो कल्पना होती थी, आज वो उनकी बेटी के रूप में सच होती दिखाई दे रही थी।

4. सरोज का विवाह अन्य विवाह से किस प्रकार भिन्न था?

उत्तर : सरोज का विवाह बहुत ही आडंबरहीन था। उसमे न कोई शोर शराबा था, न ही कोई अन्य व्यक्ति को बुलाया गया था, न ही मेहंदी और हल्दी का समारोह किया गया और ना ही जागरण या विवाह राग गाये गए थे। सरोज की माँ न होने के कारण माँ की सारी रस्मे तथा जिम्मेदारियाँ उसके पिता यानी कवि ने निभाई थीं।

5. 'वह लता वहीं की, जहां कली तू खिली' पंक्ति के द्वारा किस प्रसंग को उद्घाटित किया गया है?

उत्तर : इस पंक्ति के द्वारा कवि सरोज के पालन की ओर संकेत करते हैं। यहां लता का माध्यम सरोज की माँ यानी मनोहारी जी हैं जो सरोज को जन्म देते ही चल बसी थी। इस पंक्ति से कवि यह बताना चाह रहे हैं कि जहां लता बड़ी हुई वहीं उसकी कली भी खिली अर्थात जहां मनोहारी जी बड़ी हुई वहीं सरोज का भी लालन पालन हुआ जो कि उसका ननिहाल और मनोहारी जी का मायका था।

6. 'मुझ भाग्यहीन की तु संबल 'निराला जी की य़ह पंक्ति क्या 'बेटी बचाओ, बेटी पढ़ाओ' जैसे कार्यक्रम की मांग करती है?

उत्तर : निराला जी की यह पंक्ति बेटी बचाओ बेटी पढ़ाओ जैसे कार्यक्रम की मांग करती है क्योंकि पत्नी के गुजर जाने के बाद कवि का इकलौता सहारा उनकी पुत्री ही थी और जब वह भी गुजर गयी तब उनका जीवन केवल दुख से भरा हुआ रह गया था।

7. निम्नलिखित पंक्तियों का अर्थ स्पष्ट कीजिए -

(क) नत नयनों से लोक उतर

उत्तर : इसका अर्थ यह है कि नव वधु की आंखों में जो लज्जा है वह उतरकर उसके होठों पर कंपन के रूप में  आ गयी है।

(ख) श्रृंगार रहा जो निराकार 

उत्तर : इससे कवि यह कहना चाह रहे हैं कि वह जो कवितायें लिखते थे उनमे जो श्रृंगार रस था उसका कोई अकार या रूप नहीं था। उसकी कोई वास्तविकता नहीं थी, वह केवल कल्पनाओं में था। परंतु जब उन्होंने सरोज को नव वधु के रूप में देखा तो उस काल्पनिक श्रृंगार को उन्होंने साकार होता हुआ देखा।

(ग) पर पाठ अन्य यह, अन्य कला 

उत्तर : इस पंक्ति में कवि यह बताना चाह रहे हैं कि शकुंतला और सरोज की कहानी भले ही कुछ हद तक समान हो परंतु अनेक विषयों में यह दो काफी भिन्न पाठ हैं।

(घ) यदि धर्म, रहे नत सदा माथ 

उत्तर :(घ) इस पंक्ति में कवि कहना चाहते हैं कि वह अपना पिता धर्म का पालन  हर समय माथा झुकाकर करना चाहते हैं और हमेशा करते रहेंगे।

In this poetry Geet gaane do mujhe, the poet has pointed out the time in which life is not so easy and the whole humanity is crying and there is no desire for life in humans. The Saroj Smriti poem is centred on the memory of the late daughter of Nirala. This Poem is the father's mourning over the daughter's death.
