Marking Scheme of the JEE Main 2021 Question Paper


In the year 2021, the exam pattern has some changes. The authority has introduced those changes and the same is vivid in their question setting pattern. Let us take a note of such changes:

  1. In paper 1, 90 questions were there in total. 20 questions were from Section A and 10 questions were from Section B. The students should answer 75 questions in total. 20 questions were asked from Section A and 5 questions were asked from Section B. Section B consisted of questions from all the three subjects - Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. 

  2. Paper 2A is for the B.Arch courses. This paper consisted of 82 total questions. The students should attempt 77 questions. Among these 77 questions, 25 were from Mathematics, 50 from Aptitude, and 2 from Drawing. A total of 400 marks was allotted for this paper. 

  3. Paper 2B consisted of 105 questions. The students should attempt only 100 questions. A total of 400 marks was allotted for this paper. 


JEE Main 2021 February session is being conducted now (Feb 23 - 26) across the nation. Hence the official version of the JEE Main 2021 question paper will be released after the completion of the exam by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The official authority will publish the papers online on their official website. Not only that, but the official answer key of the JEE Main 2021 question paper will also be released within the two days of the exam.
