JEE Main 2021 March 17 Shift 2 Question Paper with Answer Keys & Solutions

Qualifying Exam- Students should have passed Class 12 to be eligible for the JEE Main.

Age Limit- There is no age bar for  JEE Main. Any student who has passed the Class 12 or its equivalent exam can appear for the exam.

Several Attempts - Students can take the exam for three consecutive years.

Subjects- Students should have passed Physics, Mathematics, and any one of the subjects like Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject.

JEE Main has the syllabus both from Class 11 and 12. If the students are thorough with the subject concepts from Class 11 then it becomes quite easy, however, it is never too late if the determination and hard work are on the right track.

Students often think putting in more hours will be helpful but it is not the hours, but the utilisation of the time that matters. You have to make a smart study strategy so that you can complete all the syllabus on time and also keep enough time for revision.

Major Highlights of JEE Main 2021- Shift 2 (17 March)

• The exam was overall moderate.

• The Mathematics section was lengthy but questions were not too tough.

• The Chemistry section was easy.  Questions were asked directly from the NCERT textbook. Maximum questions were asked from the topics Polymers, Reaction Balance (Integer), Halogen, Functional group, etc. The questions asked in this section were concept based. Hence, the difficulty level of the exam was moderate.

• The Physics section was tough. The questions were almost  tricky, but  the numerical part was easy to solve.

• Mathematics section was lengthy and time consuming. The exam was tougher than the February session. The questions were mostly asked from the topics Algebra, Calculus, Integral, Differential, Conic section, Functions, Straight line, etc.

Tips for JEE Main

Let us see some of the general tips to make it easier and help you to crack the exam:

• Making a proper timetable involves time and thinking. You cannot just write down the topics and the Chapters and start. This will be a mess and in the end, you will not know what is left and what is completed. So know each Chapter and also analyse the time involved in the completion of the Chapters. Some might require less time and some Chapters require more time. You have to make the plan accordingly.

• The next and the most important is to follow. If you don't follow what you planned for then it will be a waste of time. You can't keep on making timetables. So stick to the plan. Remember that each day and hour is very important and you cannot waste it. Put all your efforts and the time to crack the Main and you can do it if you go exactly as per the schedule.

• Practice as much as possible. The more you practice you will be more familiarised with the questions. This will also help in the enhancement of the speed which is an important factor to crack the exam. Sometimes you might know the problem or answer but if you are slow then you end up losing it right? So it is important to track the time while solving the problem to know your speed.
