प्रश्न 1. जी हाँ, हमारे पास लाइसेंस वाली बंदूकें हैं। सरपंच माधोसिंह भी हमें जानता है।” शिकारियों ने कर्नल साहब से क्या सोचकर ऐसा कहा होगा?
उत्तर: शिकारियों ने कर्नल साहब से ऐसा इसलिए कहा होगा ताकि कर्नल साहब यह समझ जाएं कि वे (शिकारी) अवैध -रूप से तीतर का शिकार नहीं कर रहे हैं। बल्कि उन्हें सरकार से लाइसेंस वाली बंदूकें मिली हैं। इतना ही नहीं, वे यह भी साबित करना चाहते थे कि वे उस इलाके में अजनबी नहीं है। उन्हें वहाँ का सरपंच माधोसिंह अच्छी तरह जानता है।
प्रश्न 2. बिशन घायल तीतर को क्यों बचाना चाहता था?
उत्तर: घायल तीतर को देखकर बिशन का दिल पिघल गया। वह उसको घायल अवस्था में असहाय नहीं छोड़ सकता था।
