The Class 5 English syllabus can be broadly classified into two halves. One half is Literature, while the other is Language. In total, there are 4 sections in the syllabus. Have a look at the overview of these 4 sections in the CBSE Class 5 English syllabus:

  • Section A: Reading

  • Section B: Writing

  • Section C: Grammar

  • Section D: Literature

The first three sections are based on the topics included in the Language section. Section D includes Literature chapters.
