Long and Short Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Speech in English

The basic rights of every human being are about human rights like the right to equality, right to life, right to education, and right to freedom. And every individual has the right to demand justice if they are not allowed to exercise these rights. Every human being can claim these rights as it applies from birth till death. Unfortunately, half of the gender that is the girl are robbed of this right, they are killed before their birth, and those who live are not allowed an education and to live freely. The Prime Minister has declared an initiative to tackle this issue, and that is the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ step.

In this article, the different ways to deliver a Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Speech In English. It can be a Long or a Short Speech On Beti Bachao Beti Padhao In English.

Long Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Speech

This format of a long 500-word speech is helpful for students in grades 8-12 to speak about such an important topic in detail.

Good Morning everyone, respected Principal, Teachers and my dear friends I am Xyz (mention your name) and I am here today to speak about an important topic like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. I am certain we have all heard of this phrase more often than once in recent years. Let’s understand the reason behind the start of this initiative, the importance and it being the need of the hour.

India is a young nation, and inevitably it holds the highest population of youth and therefore minds and manpower for becoming a superpower. The potential of our country is still untapped. Men and Women constitute this young demographic who can contribute a great deal to the rise of our economy. And yet half of this population is women or girls even though deserving of every right as a man does not reach this stage of sharing the work and taking part in the contribution to the country.

The problem is deep-rooted, and women have been through unimaginable suffering for eons now. Earlier, the primary goal for girls of our nation was to get ready for marriage, and they had to learn and expertise in the household chores and nothing outside the four walls of their homes. The problem here is, in India, with marriage, a huge amount of dowry is also to be given at the time of the wedding to ensure the well-being of the couple and for their welfare.

Many families from poorer regions and even in the rural and urban areas could not afford to arrange for the dowry. So they consider that if a girl is born, and she is unwed due to lack of dowry, it is humiliating. And they kill the child once they are aware of the gender being a girl. Sometimes even before their birth, they are subjected to death. Female infanticide and the killing of a girl child is heinous crime.

And if they don’t manage to kill the girl child, they are subjected to an even more difficult life. They do not know what a childhood should be like. They only remain in the houses, learning to cook, wash, and take care of other members.

And even before the legal age of 18, they are married and have to deal with sexual violence, harassment, and physical assaults. It is truly heartbreaking to see this state of a girl in a country like ours who values the land as a motherland and worships so many goddesses.

The solution to this problem, as firmly stated by the Prime Minister of our country Shri Narendra Modi is exercising the basic right of education. When a girl is educated, she can earn for the family, stand on her own two feet and live an independent life.

When she is educated, she is aware of her rights and her place in society. She will no longer tolerate any sort of violence and there will be a sense of marriage equality, so there is no need for dowry. She can also be a working woman and a working mother and raise a family.

And hence the initiative ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ which means Save the girl by educating them. Now more than ever, this needs to be implemented and someone very rightly said, when you educate a man, a man is educated and when you educate a woman an entire generation is educated.

Thank you.

Short Speech on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao in English

This type of short speech of 250-words is helpful for students in grades 4-7 to deliver enough information using simple language for them to understand.

Good morning everyone, I am Abc (mention your name) here today to speak on an important topic that is Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. It is evident from the news if you are keeping tabs about our nation that girls are excelling in every department. They are scoring the highest ranks in the countrywide examinations like medical and engineering entrance, civil services, in the sports world girls are number one and bringing Olympic medals.

And they are even in decision-making positions like CEO of Head Of Department. All this goes to show that once given a chance they will outgrow even the men.

And even with this knowledge, some girls are deprived of this opportunity and considered unworthy just because of their gender.

This unfair treatment is an ongoing injustice the society has subscribed to since many years ago. Girls are killed due to fear of dowry, and unfortunately, if they live their lives become worse than animals with no education and safety or security. Society and Indian parents must realize that the world has moved on, and they should too, from this age-old prejudice that girls are only fit for marriage. Because that is not the truth.

The Prime Minister of our country has started this step of protecting and educating the girls as Beti Bachao Beti Padhao to attempt to fight against these untrue norms. We must be aware that when a woman is educated, the generations to come after her are bound to be independent and educated too. And in this way, the country will move ahead in the right direction with greater force.

Thank you.

Speech on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao

Honourable Sir, Greetings, Madam, and my dear friends. Because we've all met here to celebrate this event, I’d like to speak about the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojna today. The Modi government's security and protection of girls in the country is the focus of this program. This initiative was an urgent requirement of the time since development is impossible without the saving and empowerment of the country's women. Because women account for half of the country's population, they hold half of the country's power. As a result, they require equal access to resources, facilities, and opportunities to contribute to India's development. This scheme is about the protection and better education of girls. The Indian government has launched a new initiative called Sukanya Samrudhi Yojna to help this drive.

This initiative involves reducing the responsibilities of parents at a young age. Because, under this scheme, parents have to deposit a certain amount of money in the bank each month to receive benefits in the future of their girl child, whether for education or marriage. As a beti-padhao plan, the government's ambitious approach will result in a good change in the situation of women in India. The government has begun it with very good objectives, strategies, and action plans to ensure its success.

Its goal is to preserve Dalit girls' lives by providing them with higher education so that they can be empowered and take part in all aspects of society. About 100 districts (those with low CSR) have been chosen for the first necessary action, according to this plan. This program aims to increase the well-being of girls by raising awareness about gender discrimination in the workplace. The proposal of Indian Rupees was passed in large numbers for protecting women in the country's metropolitan and big towns. Support for this scheme will not solve the girl's dilemma; it will require the support of all Indian residents. Rules and laws aimed at reducing crimes against girls should be strictly followed, and those who violate them should be punished.

Thank you.

It is one of India's most well-known campaigns. It is necessary to look for the scheme's benefits. Our country's girl children will benefit from this program.
