• मीरा बहन का जन्म इंग्लैंड में हुआ था l

•  वह गांधी जी के विचारों से प्रभावित थी इसलिए उन्होंने अपना परिवार छोड़कर गांधीजी के साथ काम करना शुरू कर दिया I

• आजादी मिलने के बाद वह उत्तर प्रदेश के गेवली गांव में गोपाल आश्रम स्थापित करके वहा रहा करती थी l

• गांव में आसपास के जंगल से बाघ आने का बहुत खतरा होता था l बाघ कभी-कभी किसानों की पालतू जानवरों का शिकार कर लिया करता था l

• एक दिन बहुत परेशान होने के बाद वह मीरा बहन के पास गए l

• गांव के लोगों ने बाघ को फसाने के लिए पिंजरा बनाया और उसके अंदर एक बकरी रख दी जिससे बाघ पिंजरे में फंस जाए l

• अगली सुबह जब लोग वहां गए तो उन्होंने पाया कि पिंजरे का दरवाजा बंद है लेकिन बाघ अंदर नहीं है I

• सब हैरान रह गए और सभी लोग मीरा बहन के पास गए l

• जब मीरा बहन ने उनकी समस्या सुनी तो कहा कि बाघ को धोखा नहीं देना था इसलिए दरवाजा मैंने ही बंद कर दिया था।

The Class 3 Hindi Chapter 11 is titled Meera Bahan aur Bagh. In the story, Meera Bahan, a follower of Mahatma Gandhi resided in a village in Uttar Pradesh. The village, terrorized by a tiger, decided to trap it by constructing a trap near Gopal Ashram, where Meera Bahan resided. They set up the trap with a goat as bait so that the tiger would enter the cage and the doors would close automatically.

However, the next day, the villagers found that the cage door was closed but there wasn’t any sign of the tiger. When Meera Bahan was asked about it, she simply said that trapping a tiger by deceit is not the moral way so she ended up going to the trap and closing its door. The story teaches us that we should value not only human life but animal life as well.
