• प्रस्तुत कहानी पंजाब की एक लोक कथा पर आधारित है।

• इस कहानी में एक किसान हैं और उसकी पत्नी का नाम बित्तो है l

• एक दिन किसान ने अपनी पत्नी से कहा जब मैं खेती कर रहा था तो वहा एक शेर आया l

• शेर ने किसान से कहा कि वह उसे अपना बैल खाने को दे वरना वह किसान को ही खा जाएगा l

• यह बात सुनकर बित्तो ने अपनी बुद्धि लगाई और शेर से यह कहने को कहा कि उसके लिए एक ताजा मोटा घोड़ा लाया जाएगा I

• इसके बाद बित्तो ने अपने  सिर पर कपड़ा बांधा और हाथ में दरांती लेकर घोड़े पर बैठ गई।

• इसके बाद वह खेत में पहुंची और किसान से कहा कि तुमने तो चार शेर फंसाए थे लेकिन यहां सिर्फ एक ही है I

• फिर बित्तो ने कहा कि इस एक शेर का ही नाश्ता कर लेते हैं। 

• बित्तो की यह बात सुनकर शेर डर गया और वहां से भाग गया l

• यह सब लोमड़ी ने देखा और शेर से कहा कि वह राक्षसी नहीं है l

• इसके बाद शेर लोमड़ी की पूंछ के साथ अपनी पूंछ बांधकर वापस खेत गया I 

• उन्हें आता देखकर बित्तो ने लोमड़ी से कहा कि तुमने तो चार शेर लाने  का वादा किया था लेकिन यह तो एक ही है l

• यह बात सुनकर शेर बहुत ज्यादा डर गया और वहां से तुरंत भाग गया I इसके बाद वह वहां कभी नहीं लौटा I

• अब किसान और उसका परिवार बहुत खुशी से रहने लगा था I

Summary of CBSE Class 3 Hindi Chapter 5 Bahadur Bitto

This is a story of a smart woman named Bitto. She is a farmer’s wife. One day, a lion attacked her husband. The lion told him that if he does not bring an ox to eat, he will kill the farmer right away. The farmer told the entire incident to his house in fear.

Bitto understood that either way, she is going to lose something. She was quite smart. She asked her husband to tell the lion that his wife is coming with an ox. She then tied a turban and carried a big sickle and rode a horse to the field.

She exclaimed that the farmer promised her four lions but there is only one for her snack. Bahadur Bitto made the lion fear her. He fled from the field. In the second instance, a wolf made the lion understand that she tricked him.

He promised to outsmart the women this time. The lion, on the other hand, tied his tail with that of the wolf so that the wolf cannot escape. Bitto was smarter than both the animals. She went in the same way and approached the wolf. She asked where the four lions are he promised. She will not be able to fill her stomach. The lion got scared again and started running. Both the animals never came back.
