• प्रस्तुत कविता मे एक ऐसे बच्चे का वर्णन किया गया है जो बहुत कुछ बनना चाहता है।

• कविता  में  कवि कहता है कि बालक का मन  सूरज  के समान बनकर आकाश में दौड़ लगाना चाहता है और चाँद के समान बनकर सितारों पर गर्व दिखाना चाहता है।

• बालक  दादा के समान  बनकर सभी को डांटना चाहता है। वह अपने पिता की तरह मूंछें भी रखना चाहता है।

• बालक तितली बनकर दूर-दूर तक उड़ना चाहता है और कभी-कभी  कोयल बनकर मीठे-मीठे बोल सुनाना चाहता है ।

• वह चिड़िया के समान बनकर चीं चीं चूँ चूँ करके शोर मचाना चाहता है।
