Major Highlights of JEE Main 2021- Shift 2 (16 March)

• According to the candidates initial feedback, the overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate. According to the candidates, these questions were difficult in comparison to the morning shift.

• The Mathematics  section was quite lengthy in comparison to Chemistry, and Physics. The difficulty level was moderate.

• The difficulty level of the Physics section was easy to moderate. 

• The difficulty level of the Chemistry section was easy & NCERT based.  Most of the questions asked in the Chemistry section were theoretical.

• Candidates felt this session was a bit difficult in comparison to the February exam.

Exam Structure

• Exam Pattern for JEE Main 2021 has been updated in light of state board and CBSE syllabus reductions. Each subject will now contain 30 questions: physics, math, and chemistry. There will be two portions in each of these subjects. In part A, there are 20 multiple-choice questions, and in section B, there are 10 numerical value response questions. Candidates must attempt five out of ten questions in section B.

• Another important change in the JEE Main Paper Pattern for 2021 is that it will be held in 13 languages.

• Paper 1 will include MCQs and numerical-value type questions from all three disciplines, with a total of 300 marks and a computer-based format.

• In both B. Arch and B. Arch, there will be math and aptitude portions.

• Papers for planning and the third section of a drawing or planning based project, respectively.
