CET Delhi Counselling 2023-24

The counselling process will begin as soon as the results and the cut off are announced. Once the results are announced, a merit list will be created from the pool of applicants. These enlisted students will be called for the counselling process. The students can get the entire counselling schedule which will be released on the official website. The counselling process will also include document verification as well as seat allotment. The candidates will be requested to bring along their original documents along with a set of photocopies for the document verification process. Students will be required to make their course and college choices. Based on the rank and the availability of seats, seats will be allotted to students in various participating institutions. Every year, the Director of Technical Education, Government of NCT of Delhi conducts the Delhi CET 2022. The exam is conducted once a year to offer students admission to the first semester/ first year for the academic session 2022-23 for various Full-time Diploma programmes (Engineering and non-Engineering) being offered at the institutes affiliated to the Board of Technical Education (DTTE), Delhi.

Delhi CET 2022 Counselling

The details, dates and the procedure pertaining to the Delhi CET 2022 Counselling will be notified by the exam authorities. Students who are enlisted will have to submit the online application form in order to be able to participate in the counselling process. The procedure for the  Delhi CET 2022 Counselling has been elaborated below:

• Processing Fee Payment - Students first need to pay a processing fee of Rs. 700 + Rs. 15 (bank charges). This amount is non-refundable and has to be paid through online mode which will include - to credit card, debit card, net banking and many more. Once the payment is successful, students will have to take a printout of the fee receipt for further use. 

• Registration for the Process - The next step after fee payment is the registration. For the registration, the students will need the Aadhaar card number or any other valid ID government proof. Along with it, students will also have to keep their 10th/12th/ITI mark sheet, certificate and other relevant documents/category/Sub Category certificate(as applicable) with them. Also, to finish the registration process, the students will have to enter details related to the test no., CET roll no., CET application no., and date of birth.

One the registration process is completed successfully, the applicants will be directed to a new page “Registration form”. On this page, they need to enter several mandatory details as mentioned below to generate a password:

• Name of Father

• Gender

• Contact Address

• Mobile Number

• E-mail Address

• Details of Qualification

• Aadhaar Card Number/Pan No.

• Category

• Sub-category

NOTE: it is important that the applicants ensure that all the details entered are accurate. As any faulty information found during the verification will lead to the cancellation of the applicant’s candidature. So the candidate needs to verify the information and proceed to the next steps. 

Once the online registration process is completed, a receipt will be displayed on the screen stating the status of registration and eligibility of the counselling of Delhi CET 2022. Students need to take a print of the same and keep it for further process.

• Filling of Choices - The enlisted eligible candidates will be asked to provide their preferred choices of courses and institutes. This must be done by logging in using the Delhi CET 2022 roll number and password. Candidates here are advised to enter as many choices as possible as this will increase their chances of getting admission into the best institution available in the pool.

• Provisional Seat Allotment Declaration - The exam authorities release the Delhi CET 2022 provisional seat allotment result in online mode. The students can access the seat allotment result by logging in using the roll number and password. If the seats allocated to the students are as per their preference, then they need to take a printout of the same. The seat allotment is done purely on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying exam and the choices filled by the students in the application form

• Part-Payment of the Institutional Fee - Students who have been allocated seats as per their preference will have to make a part payment of institutional fees as mentioned in the provisional allotment letter within a stipulated date. The remainder of the fee will have to be paid on the date as mentioned by the authorities. 

• Verification of Documents - The next step is for the candidates to get their documents verified and complete their enrollment formalities. For this step, the candidates will have to carry all their relevant documents. After this, the candidate will be issued a Document Verification Report’ from the institution.

• Payment of Remaining Fee - The students will need to pay the remaining institutional fee. Post this they will be able to download the final allotment letter. In case the students fail to pay the fee within the stipulated time, then their seat will be cancelled by the authorities.

NOTE: Freezing Seats - After each round of counselling, students will be given two choices - to either freeze their allotted seat or to let it go. If the applicant has been allotted with the seat of their preference, then they will have to choose the “Freeze” option available. If the applicant is unhappy with the allotted seat, then they will have to participate in the next round of Delhi CET counselling 2022. In the next round, they will be offered the next higher preference seat based on the availability of seats.

• Spot Round - After the completion of all four rounds of the seat allotment, if any seats are still left then the authorities will conduct a spot-round for the students. In the spot round, candidates will have to bring a Demand Draft of Rs 6000/- in favour of DKDF, Delhi along with other relevant documents for the seat allotment process.
