  • The candidates between 16.5-19.5 years of age are eligible for appearing for the NDA Exam. 

  • For the NDA Course for Indian Army, candidates who have passed 10+2 examinations from a recognized board or university are eligible for appear in the examination.

  • For the NDA Course for the Indian Navy and Indian Air Force, candidates who have passed 10+2 examinations with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects are eligible for appearing in the examination.

 

Admission Procedure for NDA

Once the application is sent and you have been admitted to the NDA then a mandatory training routine will ensue. Following which the candidates will go to their chosen fields for further training. The National Defence Academy is located in Khadakwasla near Pune, Maharashtra. It is indeed the pride of our country as it is the first of its kind in the world to host three services under the same academy.

The National Democratic Alliance

As the name suggests, it is an alliance of the political parties in India established in 1998. At its inception the Bharatiya Janata Party was its leader with thirteen parties under it. This alliance was headed by Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Some of its partners are

1. Can anyone get enrolled in the National Defence Academy?

Not everyone but only those who meet the eligibility criteria of the nda exam can apply. Once you clear the exam then you have to go through the entire procedure of getting admitted to the academy. Therefore, learn all that you can about the NDA beforehand.

2. Is the training at The National Defence Academy very Rigorous?

Definitely. The training is extremely rigorous and painful. Since all those who get admitted look forward to safeguarding our country, they have to be extremely well trained. The regime is strict and you have to follow a strict code of decorum.

3. What is the selection process for NDA in detail?

The NDA exam is conducted by the UPSC in two stages which include a written test and an SSB interview. For the year 2022, the first stage exam, which is the written exam, is going to be conducted on April 11, 2022, for NDA 1. Once the written process is cleared candidates are called for an SSB interview which is the second stage of the selection process. After the interview is cleared, the candidate has to go through a medical test where it is checked whether the candidate is medically fit or not. Then based on marks scored in the written examination and the interview, a final merit list is prepared and the allocation is done based on that merit list.

4. What is the examination pattern of NDA 2022?

The NDA syllabus consists of various subjects which include general science, mathematics. There are two papers one is on mathematics and the other is on general mental ability. The mathematics paper has a total weightage of 300 marks while the general mental ability examination has a total weightage of 600 marks. In the general knowledge examination, the weightage of questions based on physics, chemistry, science, history, geography, and current events will be approximately 25%, 15%, 10%, 20%, 20%, and 10% respectively.
