About KCET Examination 2019

Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is a state examination conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). This exam is conducted in offline mode for admission to engineering, agriculture, pharmacy courses into various institutions/colleges belonging to Karnataka. CET Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has recently released a notification regarding KCET 2019 exam date. As per the notification, the exam will take place on 23rd and 24th April 2019. There are possibilities that KCET will conducted in an online mode from this year, However, the authorities have not released any official notification disclosing the same.


The KCET 2019 Application Form will tentatively available from the first week of February to third week of March 2019. The exam will be conducted for two papers – Paper I (Mathematics) and paper II (Physics and Chemistry). KCET Exam Eligibility 2019 – Karnataka Common Entrance Test Eligibility

1. Candidates must be a citizen of India.

2. Aspirants must have to complete their studies in Karnataka Government or Recognized institutions for a minimum period of seven years from class I to class XII as on July 1, 2019.

3. Must have passed Class 12 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects with any one of the following – Chemistry/Computer/Electronics/Biology/Biotechnology. Also, he/she should have studied English.

4. Candidates should have scored a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in the above-mentioned three subjects of class 12 examination. SC/ST/OBC candidates need a minimum of 40%.


KCET Application Form 2019


The KCET 2019 Application form will be released by KEA in online mode in the first week of February 2019 and will be available till third week of March 2019. Candidates need to fill all the valid details required in the KCET registration form. Aspirants are advised to go through the eligibility criteria once, before filling the application form.


How to Fill KCET Application Form 2019 – Steps to be Followed


Registration: This is the first step where you have to register online on the official website of KEA and then login using your registered credentials.


Filling up the KCET Application Form 2019: Using the application number and password, log in and fill the application form of KCET 2019. Details such as personal, academic and contact information need to be submitted.


Scanned Documents Upload: In this step, you need to upload scanned images of your signature, photograph and left thumb impression as per the required specifications. Along with that, you also need to upload your parent’s left thumb impression.


Application Fee Payment: Pay the application fee through online (Credit/Debit/Net Banking) mode or offline mode (e-challan)


Submission of the Application Form: This is the final step where you need to review all the inputs provided by you and then submit the application form. Take a print out of the application form for future use. Furthermore, you need to get print out attested by your school’s principal or by any gazetted officer.

KCET Exam Pattern 2019


Candidates are advised to check the KCET paper pattern 2019 to get a better understanding of total marks, duration and how to prepare accordingly. KCET 2019 will have three papers, namely, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each paper contains 60 marks and the duration is 80 minutes (1 Hour 20 minutes). KCET Admit Card 2019


1. KCET 2019 Admit Card will be released from tentatively in the first week of April 2019 by KEA.

2. Without a valid admit card, no candidate will be allowed to take the exam.

3. Information such as the exam centre name, address, shift timings etc will be present in the admit card.

4. You will be able to download your admit card from the official website by providing KCET 2019 Application Number and date of birth.


KCET 2019 Answer Key


The KCET Answer Key 2019 is likely to be announced by fourth week of April 2019. KCET answer key will contain all the correct answers to the questions asked in the exam. Candidates will be able to calculate their KCET scores by comparing their responses to the correct answers in the answer key released by the authorities. Candidates will also be provided with certain time to raise any objection against the answer key with a valid proof. The objections will be duly considered by the authorities (if valid) and the final KCET 2019 answer key will be published.


KCET Results 2019


1. The result for KCET will be announced tentatively in the first week of June 2019.

2. Candidates can check their KCET 2019 results online.

3. Candidates need their registration number to check their results.

4. Keep a print copy of the result and save it till the admission procedure is not over.

5. The authority will release the KCET cut-off after the result declaration.


KCET Cutoff 2019


Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will be publishing the KCET Cutoff tentatively in the second week of June 2019 for the 1st round of seat allotment. The cut off will be different for different institutes and will be prepared for various categories separately. Candidates who are securing a rank equal or above the cut off will be eligible for the admission.

KCET 2019 can be cracked with a proper preparation and the right strategy. As the first step, make sure that you have gone through the KCET Syllabus and be thorough with it.
