KCET Exam Eligibility 2018 – Karnataka Common Entrance Test Eligibility

Candidates must be the citizen of India.
  • Aspirants must have to complete their studies in Karnataka Government or Recognized institutions for a minimum period of seven years from class i to class xii.
  • At least one of the parent of the aspiring candidate must have to complete their studies in Karnataka state for a minimum period of seven years.
  • Applicants mother tongue should be Kannada, Tulu, Kodava and should be the resident of Kannada speaking area in India.
  • Hence, candidates who worked as Ward of defence personnel for a minimum period of one year in Karnataka during the two years period of H.S are also eligible.


KCET Exam 2018 Eligibility Criteria – Educational & Age Limits of KCET

The age limit for appearing for KCET is 17 years. 

  • B.E/ B. Tech: Candidates must have completed 2nd PUC/12th Standard or an equivalent examination with minimum 45% Marks in Physics and Mathematics with Chemistry/ Biology.
  • BAMS, BUMS, BNYS & BHMS: Candidates must have completed 2nd PUC/12th Standard or an equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks in the Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects.
  • B. Arch: Candidates must have completed 2nd PUC/12th Standard or an equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks in all the subjects and needs to study Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
  • B. V. Sc. & A.H: Candidates must have completed 2nd PUC/12th Standard or an equivalent examination with minimum 50% Marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects.
  • B.Pharm: Candidates must have completed 12th Standard/inter or an equivalent examination with English and should get minimum 45% Marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects or PCM subjects.
  • For 2nd Year B. Pharma (Lateral Entry): Candidates must have completed Diploma in Pharmacy with minimum 45% Marks from an educational institution approved by the Pharmacy Examination Council of India.
  • D Pharma : Candidates must have completed 2nd PUC/12th Standard or an equivalent examination with minimum 45% Marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects or PCM subjects. The candidate need to qualify for Diploma in Pharmacy test from an educational institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India.
  • B.Sc. (Agriculture/ Sericulture/ Forestry/ Horticulture/ Agri. Biotech), B. H. Sc.(Home Science), B. Tech.(Food Science & Tech.), b. Tech.(Food Technology), and B. Tech in Agriculture or B.Sc.(Ag Marketing and Co-operation): Candidates must have completed 2nd PUC/12th Standard or an equivalent examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics.
