Counselling in terms of education,i.e., academic counselling, is a process that undergoes the allotment of seats in particular colleges to the students according to the merit list prepared by the marks they have secured in that particular competitive exam.

 

JEXPO Counselling is also referring to the same. Here also, the students who have qualified the entrance exam are allotted the seats in the order of colleges only after verifying all of their documents. This exam is for Polytechnic engineering conducted by West Bengal State Council. This counselling may be held in two ways- online and Off-line. Counselling is also held at several centers at a time to contact the students from different areas.

Counselling Procedure for JEXPO:-

The entire JEXPO Counselling procedure can be held in six different stages. The allotment of seats will be based on the rank that they have secured. Let us see the six stages in detail-

At Stage 1, students need to apply/ register for online counselling.

At Stage 2, We need to log in with the help of ID and password generated at stage 1. 

At Stage 3, students need to choose the colleges in which they want to study, also which are nearer, which have campus placement, food, and hostels, etc. by keeping many points in mind, they choose and fill the options as many as possible. After verifying once or twice, the student should lock the options. Then they need to take a print out for the next process.

At Stage 4, the allotment of seats has been done, and it is published on the website as well as a message that has been sent to the registered mobile number.

At Stage 5, download the allotment letter and go through the instructions thoroughly.

At Stage 6, you should report at the college which you allotted and submit the documents.

 

Steps to Apply for JEXPO Counselling:-

Once the JEXPO results have been issued, students need to register for online counselling to get a seat.

  • First, you should visit the website.

  • Then, to get registered, click on the 'New Registration' button.

  • It will ask the enrollment number. Enter the 'enrollment number' and ' index number'.

  • Then click on the ' proceed' button to move further.

  • Check all your personal details and edit if any corrections are needed. Then click the 'Submit' button.

  • Asks you to confirm and continue to click on the' Confirm' button to get continued.

  • Enter the password as your wish and then click on submit.

  • Don't forget your password which is used in the further process of counselling.

  • A student login ID is generated and you should save these IDs and passwords.

 

Required Documents for JEXPO Counselling:-

During the time of admission and while the online counselling is going on, you need to submit certain documents which need to be verified by them. The list of required documents are as follows-

  1.   10th standard marks list given by the board.

  2. 10th class hall ticket or admit card which you have taken for exams.

  3. Category/ caste certificate.

  4. Medical fitness certificate.

  5. JEXPO admit card.

  6. JEXPO results in a card or prints out.

  7. Two copies of the allotment letter.

  8. Fee payment receipt.

  9. Passport size photographs.

Ans. JEXPO Counseling is a process of allocating seats to the qualified students held in the entrance exam. The process has been taken care of by West Bengal State Council. They held counseling through online mode. Also, certain reservations have been declared based on their category.

The JEXPO Counseling procedure has been divided into different stages like registration, inputting the details, choosing the list of colleges, seat allotment, downloading the allotment letter, reporting in the college, and document verification too.   • Try to know the faculty and staff

  • Should take suggestions from parents.

  • We should know the location of the college.

  • Hostel facility

  • Availability of food and transportation.

  • Always better to keep more priorities here. Because the seats are allotted according to the rank.

  • Check once or twice before locking them.
