कहानी का सारांशः

• प्रस्तुत कहानी में 'कोको' नाम का आठ वर्ष का एक बर्मी लड़का है । जो मोटा है । 

• उसके तीन बर्मी दोस्त हैं नीनी, तिन सू और मिमि | 

• नीनी नौ साल और तिन सू आठ साल का है ।

जबकि मिमि सात साल की बर्मी लड़की है | 

और उबा तुन दुकान का प्रबंधक है । 

• एक दिन कोको अपने माता-पिता के खेत पर चले जाने के बाद उठता है । कोको की माँ ने उसके लिए चावल की चार रोटी बनाई अलमारी है | 

• कोको को चावल की रोटियाँ बहुत पसंद है । लेकिन जब कोको खाने के लिए बैठता है । उसी समय दरवाजा खटखटाने की आवाज आती है और  वह पहले रोटियों को छिपा देता है | 

• दरवाजे पर नीनी होता है । नीनी उसके पास रेडियो पर परीक्षा संबंधी सूचना के बारे में जानकारी लेने आता है । कोको बहाना बनाता है कि उसका रेडियो ख़राब हो गया है ।

• इसके बाद नीनी तिन सू के घर चला जाता है।

• जब वह फिर से चावल की रोटियाँ लेकर खाने के लिए बैठता है तो इस बार मिमि आ जाती है| कोको फिर रोटियाँ छिपाने के बाद दरवाज़ा खोलता है | 

• मिमि उसे बताती है कि वह उसकी माँ से मिली थीं और उसे चावल की रोटियो के बारे मे पता हैं। 

• कोको कहता है कि मैंने सारी रोटियाँ खा ली । मिमि की माँ ने उसे चार केले के पापड़ दिए थे । मिमि एक पापड़ उठाकर कोको से चाय माँगती है और कोको उसे बताता है कि चाय अलमारी पर रखी है | 

• इसके बाद मिमि खुद चाय पीने लगती है और कोको से कहती है कि तुम्हारा पेट बहुत भरा हुआ है | 

• इस बार वापस दरवाजा खुलता है और इस बार तिन सू होता है। वह गेंदे के फूलों का गुच्छा लाता है । 

• मिमि और तिन सू केले का पापड़ और एक कप चाय पीते है ।

• इसके बाद तिन सू फूलदान में फूल लगाने के लिए बढ़ता है तो कोको उसे रोक देता है ।

• इस बार वापस दरवाजा खुलता है अब उ बा तुन आए है | 

• वह कोको से गुलाबी फूलदान की जगह नीला फूलदान बदलने की बात कहता है और वह गुलाबी फूलदान उठा लेता है और उसकी जगह नीला फूलदान रख देता है। 

• फूलदान के साथ कोको की चावल की रोटियाँ भी चली जाती है जिससे वह बहुत दुखी हो जाता है ।

इस पाठ से हमें यह शिक्षा मिलती है कि हमें झूठ नहीं बोलना चाहिए और मिल बाटकर खाना चाहिए l
