Answer: The artefact I made in my craft class is a hand-painted earthen diya holder. It is made from baked clay and has a circular shape with four small spaces to hold diyas. The base is approximately 15 centimetres in diameter.
The materials used to make the artefact include clay, acrylic paints, paint brushes, varnish, glue, and decorative beads. First, the clay was shaped and moulded into the required form. It was then dried in the sun and baked to make it hard.
After drying, the surface was painted using bright colours such as red, yellow, and green. Simple floral patterns were drawn on the edges, and decorative beads were fixed along the border with glue. Finally, a coat of varnish was applied to make the surface shiny and durable.
