Vyavaharik Vyakaran (व्यावहारिक व्याकरण) in the Hindi Course A Class 10 Syllabus 2026-27

The grammar section carries 16 marks and is the most predictable part of the paper, since every answer follows a fixed rule. The topics prescribed in the Hindi Course A Class 10 syllabus 2026-27 are:

Apathit Bodh (अपठित बोध) Section in Hindi A Syllabus Class 10

The unseen passage section carries 14 marks and needs no memorisation at all. It usually includes one gadyansh (prose passage) and one kavyansh (poetry extract), with objective and short-answer questions based on comprehension.

The best way to prepare is to attempt one passage every alternate day. Read the questions first, then the passage, and underline the lines that contain the answers. Since the answers are always within the text, this is the most reliable scoring section in the entire hindi a syllabus class 10.

Rachnatmak Lekhan (रचनात्मक लेखन) Topics in Class 10 Hindi A Syllabus 2026-27

The creative writing section carries 20 marks in Course A and is entirely format-driven, which makes it fully scoring with practice. The topics generally asked are:

अनुच्छेद लेखन (paragraph writing on a given topic, with hints)
पत्र लेखन (formal and informal letters)
सूचना लेखन (notice writing)
विज्ञापन लेखन (advertisement writing)
संदेश लेखन (message writing)
लघु कथा लेखन or ई-मेल लेखन, as prescribed

Marks here are given for correct format, word limit and language, not for creativity. Writing two or three samples of each type before the exam is usually enough.

How to Prepare for the Hindi Course A Class 10 Syllabus 2026-27?

Strike off the deleted chapters from Kshitij and Kritika in your textbook before you start revising
Begin with grammar and writing skills, since 36 of the 80 marks come from these two sections
Read each Kshitij poem twice, once for meaning and once for the important lines usually asked in extract-based questions
For Kritika, focus on the storyline, characters and central idea, as questions here are mostly long answer
Practise one unseen passage every second day to build comprehension speed
Solve the CBSE sample paper and at least three previous year papers to understand the internal choices offered

1. What is the marks distribution in the Class 10 Hindi Course A syllabus 2026-27?

The board paper is of 80 marks. Apathit bodh carries 14 marks, vyavaharik vyakaran 16 marks, the textbook and supplementary textbook 30 marks, and rachnatmak lekhan 20 marks. Another 20 marks come from internal assessment, taking the total to 100.

2. Which chapters have been removed from the Hindi Course A Class 10 syllabus 2026-27?

From Kshitij Part 2, the poems Savaiya and Kavitt by Dev, Chhaya Mat Chhoona by Girijakumar Mathur and Kanyadan by Rituraj have been removed, along with the prose chapters Stri Shiksha ke Virodhi Kutarkon ka Khandan and Manviya Karuna ki Divya Chamak. From Kritika Part 2, Ehi Thaiyan Jhulni Herani Ho Rama and George Panchum ki Naak are excluded.

3. Which grammar topics are asked in the class 10 Hindi A syllabus 2026-27?

Four topics carry four marks each: rachna ke aadhar par vakya bhed, vaachya, pad parichay and alankar. Under alankar, only arthalankar such as upma, rupak, utpreksha, atishayokti and manvikaran are prescribed. In each topic, five questions are set and students attempt four.

4. How many questions are asked in the grammar section of Hindi Course A?

A total of 20 questions are set in the vyavaharik vyakaran section, out of which students must answer only 16. This internal choice makes it one of the safest sections to score in.

5. What is the difference between Hindi Course A and Course B in Class 10?

Course A (code 002) follows Kshitij Part 2 and Kritika Part 2, with 30 marks for literature and 20 for writing. Course B (code 085) follows Sparsh and Sanchayan, with 28 marks for literature and 22 for writing. Course A is treated as the first-language paper and is more literature-focused.

6. How is the apathit bodh section structured in the hindi a syllabus class 10?
