1.ATP that is also known as the currency of energy is a nucleoside triphosphate which is made up of ribose sugar, triphosphate group, and nitrogenous base and in ATP the nitrogenous base is adenine which is classified as a purine.

2.When any reaction consumes ATP, it becomes either ADP that is adenosine diphosphate or AMP that is adenosine monophosphate depending upon the number of phosphate groups consumed by the reaction.

3.ATP contains three phosphate groups and these three phosphates are attached by a bond known as phosphoanhydride bond that is also known as high energy bonds as these bonds are responsible for the extraction of energy from the ATP molecule.

4.Hence the Adenotriphosphate molecule that is ATP molecule contains only two high energy bonds.
