JEE Main 2023 24 January Shift 1 and 2 - Question Paper Analysis

The JEE Main 2023 24 January Morning Shift paper, according to students, was as par the  last year’s paper in terms of difficulty level. Experts felt the exam was “moderate”. While, the JEE Main 2023 24 January Evening Shift paper was also was termed “easy to moderate”, it was comparatively easier than Shift 1. 

The shift 1 day 1 exam included almost similar number of questions from chapters of both Classes 11 and 12, however, in the second shift, Class 12 contributed to almost 60% weightage as per the experts.

In both the shifts of Day 1 JEE Main 2023, Maths section was tougher than the other two, with lengthier and tricky calculations. The Physics section was more formula-based this time in both Morning and Evening Shift, while the Chemistry portion was all about conceptual questions, asked directly out of the NCERT textbook.
