1. How many questions will be asked in each subject?

Each subject has total 30 questions:

Section - 1: 20 Multiple choice questions with Single correct answers.

Section - 2: 10 Numerical based questions out which only 5 needs to be attempted.

Note: Incorrect answer will mark -1, 0 if not attempted. Total marks for each section is 100.

2. What is a fair JEE Main 2023 score?

A JEE Main score of 250 or higher is considered to be excellent, and a score in the 85th to 95th percentile on the test is ideal for admission to NITs and IITs.

3. Which score will be considered if a student appears in both sessions?

If a candidate appears in both sessions, the best of their JEE (Main) 2023 NTA scores will be considered to generate the merit list/ranking.
