Introduction

The second shift of Day 2 JEE Main 2021 Phase 1 was conducted from 3 PM to 6 PM on 24 February. There were a total of 90 questions in the paper, asked from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, having a total weightage of 300 marks. The difficulty level of the JEE Main 2021 24 Feb Shift 2 paper was moderate, and on average, there can be 75 good attempts out of 90. As per the revised JEE Main exam pattern, there were 10 numerical answer type questions in each section, of which candidates were to attempt any 5.

Analysis

The JEE mentors and subject experts at Vedantu have come up with a complete analysis of the JEE Main 24 Feb 2021 Shift 2 question paper. The overall difficulty level of the question paper was moderate, and several questions were asked from the topics covered in the Class 11 syllabus. 

Most questions in the paper were in alignment with the NCERT exemplar and NCERT textbook questions. The chemistry section was the easiest in the paper and mostly comprised of direct questions. The questions were conceptual and memory-based.

The numerical answer type questions in the Physics section were somewhat difficult as compared to the first shift. The JEE Main 2021 24 Feb Shift 2 paper is concluded to be a little more difficult than that of Shift 1 (morning). However, the numerical answer type questions in the Shift 2 paper were less lengthy and scoring. The overall difficulty level of the question paper is moderate.
