IITs Cut-off for B. Tech Computer Science and Engineering- A Brief Outline For Candidates

In India, there are 23 IITs offering BTech CSE, which stands for Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering. To get into these IITs, students need to take the JEE Advanced exam. Those who rank among the top 2,50,000 in JEE Mains can apply for JEE Advanced. If you're aiming for the top IITs, you'll need a rank higher than 500. For the newer IITs, a rank higher than 4500 will do.

To even be considered for IITs, candidates must score at least 250 or higher and land between the 85-95 percentile in JEE Main. But to secure a seat in an IIT for CSE, you need to score between 280 to 300+ in JEE Advanced. The expected cutoff scores for JEE Main 2025 are: General 91+, OBC 74+, EWS 76+, SC 55+, ST 40+, and PwD categories is 0.11+.

For admissions, there is a process called JoSAA that oversees seat allocation in 97 institutes, including the 23 IITs. If you qualify for JEE Main or JEE Advanced, you're eligible for JoSAA counseling to get into the IITs.
