The dates for the application form begin in June 2020. Students can only apply once for the exam.

There is an application fee which has to be paid by every student who is willing to fill the form. For general male students, the application fee is INR 250, and for the reservation category and females, the application fee is INR 200.

The student applying for the exam must have cleared at least HSC or 10th class examination with maths, science, and English as mandatory subjects. The student must have passed the exams with at least 35% of marks as an aggregate and 30% in the subjects mentioned above. The minimum age is 14 years for applying in diploma engineering courses, and for the engineering diploma program, the lower age is 16 years.
The students applying for this course must be 10+2 pass or equivalent to CHSE, Odisha with maths/biology, chemistry, physics with at least 30% marks in each subject. The aggregate qualification of marks shall be 35%.
The students applying for the course should have cleared their 10+2 in the science stream with a recognized board with at least 35% marks. They should be in between 16 to 28 years on 1/7/2020 if the students wish to pursue the course.
The students applying for this course must pass in 10+2 level from science stream/10+2 vocational in any ENG. Trades/2 years ITI in ENG. Trade/pass in HSC exam in COE trade conducted by BSE Odisha/10th standard exam approved equivalent by BSE Odisha with a minimum of 30% marks in each subject and should not be of less than 16 years in age.
The students should have passed their 10+2 program with streams from CHSE, Odisha with at least 30% marks in each subject and 35% in total. The minimum age to apply for the course is 16 years.
The Odisha DET exam 2020 will be a merit-based exam, and the list will be released on the official site of the institute. The results of the students application can only be viewed through online mode. According to the result of the cut off which will likely be out in the month of June 2020, the counselling will begin.
If the students are selected in the cut off list, then they can further apply for the counselling session, which will further take them a step closer to the admission process. The student has to apply for counselling to confirm the seat.
