IISc (Indian Institute of Science), Bangalore declares the final KVPY exam result. The KVPY aptitude test was held on May 22, 2022, for all the SA, SX, and SB Streams. Suppose you have appeared for the KVPY exam 2022. In that case, you can access the result by using your application number and password (that you have created while applying for the KVPY application). In the form of a merit list, KVPY 2022 results will be declared for SA, SX, and SB streams.

The Selection Process of KVPY

There are two stages of the KVPY selection process, which are the Aptitude Test and the Interview. The KVPY total marks on the question papers for the streams SA, SB, and SX is 100. 


Only those students are eligible who are studying in XI standard to 1st year of any undergraduate Program in Basic Sciences such as B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./M.S. in subjects of Physics, Biology, Mathematics and Chemistry having an aptitude for scientific research. 


On the basis of the performance of the aptitude test students are short-listed and called for an interview, which is the final stage of the selection procedure. Both aptitude tests and interview marks are considered for receiving a fellowship.

How to Check Your KVPY Result 2022?

To check your KVPY 2022 result, you must use the result tab on the official portal and input your KVPY login information, including your application number and date of birth. Follow these simple steps to see your KVPY exam result

Step 1: Go to the official website of KVPY,i,e,  www.kvpy.iisc.ernet.in.

Step 2: A link will be available on the home page along with the provisional list of students who qualified for the aptitude test.

Step 3: At the bottom of the page, tap on the link to check the KVPY 2022 cut-off and category-wise links.

Step 4: You will have to select your category link to get the merit list containing the name of the shortlisted candidates and their application and roll number. 

Step 5: Now,  search for your application number and name to check whether you have qualified for the written test or not.

Only selected students from both rounds will be eligible for this KVPY scholarship.

1. Why is Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana conducted every year?

The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a National Fellowship in Basic Sciences which is initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India, with the objective of attracting exceptionally bright students to pursue basic science courses and a career in science research. 

 

This program is conducted to identify students with research skills and aptitude, assist them in realising their academic potential, encourage them to pursue research careers in Science, and assure the development of the country of the best scientific brains for research and development.

2. How is the KVPY Cutoff calculated?

The cut off of Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna (KVPY) Cutoff is calculated on the basis of the performance of students in the Aptitude Test of KVPY 2021-22. There are several factors considered while declaring the cut offs, such as the number of candidates who participated in KVPY, maximum as well as minimum marks secured by an aspirant, etc. Every year's cut off differs from the previous year because of these factors

4. Do I have to clear an interview to get a KVPY fellowship? 

Yes, to get this fellowship, you have to clear two stages. Stage one is the aptitude test, and the second stage is the interview. After getting confirmation for your interview, you will be awarded the fellowship. Make sure to take all the important documents with you. Here is the list of documents:

  • Your interview call letter

  • If you belong to SA/SX stream, attested copy of the 10th class mark sheet

  • For KVPY SB stream, attested copy of class 12 mark sheet

  • For SC/ST students, the Caste certificate 

  • Medical certificate( for physically disabled students)

  • A Self-Appraisal form (download it from the official website)

  • Study certificate form issued by Principal/Head of your current Institution

  • Attested teacher recommendation form. 

5. How many students appear for the KVPY exam?
