Previous Year Hindi Question Papers Class 12 Solved

The CBSE Class 12 Hindi (Core) board exam was held on the 22nd of April. Like the other subjects of the Board Exam, the paper was conducted for three hours from 10.30 PM to 1.30 PM. There was no major problem faced during the conduction of the exam. On average, students neither found the paper easy nor difficult. But on the whole, the paper was similar to the sample papers that were released by the CBSE board. Students did not find any question to be outside the given syllabus. 

Hindi Question Paper Class 12 CBSE Board 2017 - Paper Format

The paper, as usual, had a total of 14 questions. The total time for answering the entire paper is three hours. The paper, on the whole, has no choices. However, internal choices are provided in letter writing, feature article and answering the questions after reading the poem. The paper was for a total of 100 marks. 

Previous Year Hindi Question Paper For CBSE Class 12 - With Solutions - Paper Pattern Question wise

Hindi is a language paper. Therefore the paper pattern is also a little different from the other paper. A total of fourteen questions are asked in this question. 

The Various Types of Questions Asked are as Follows: 

Question 1: The first question is a passage. Students are asked to read the passage and answer the corresponding questions. This question carries a total of 15 marks.there are no choices corresponding to this question.

Question 2: The second question is a poem based section. In this section, the students are supposed to read the passage and answer the questions accordingly. This section carries a total of 5 marks. Students do not have any choice in this question as well.

Question 3: You are asked to write an essay on the given topic in the third question. The essay carries 5 marks. You do not have any choice in the essay topic and are expected to write in the given topic. The topic will be generic and you do not have to worry about being unable to write the same.  

Question 4: Letter writing is the 4th question in the paper. It carries a total of 5 marks. But in this question, students have to choose the topic on which they will be writing a letter. A total of two topics are provided and you have to write a letter on any one of them. 

Question 5: The fifth question is the short answer type of questions. A total of 5 questions will be asked for one mark each. You are supposed to answer all the questions without a choice. 

Question 6: This is the article section. A total of two topics are given and you are supposed to choose one of the topics and write an article based on the same. This again carries 5 marks. 

Question 7: This is a feature article section. The students here are again given a choice between two feature topics. You are supposed to pick a topic and answer accordingly. This carries 5 marks. 

Question 8: This belongs to the third section. This question carries another 8 marks. A total of two poems are provided here. You have to choose one of the poems and answer the questions that follow the same.

Question 9: This question is very similar to question 8. However, there is no choice provided for the poem or the poem based question. This question carries a total of 6 marks.

Question 10: This is again a question and answers section.  A total of 3 questions are asked in this section. You are supposed to answer any two of them. Each question here carries 3 marks. The answers here are expected to be elaborative and in detail. 

Question 11: This is again a passage question. A small passage of 4-5 lines is given along with a few questions. You should read the passage and answer questions accordingly. 

Question 12: This question has a total of 5 questions. But you are asked to answer only 4 of them. Here also, each question carries a total of 3 marks each. 

Question 13 & Question 14: this is a descriptive type question. Each question here carries 5 marks each. A particular chapter name or an incident in any of the chapters in the syllabus is given. You are supposed to write in brief what you have understood in that particular chapter.
