उत्तर: महरी के काम को ही कविता लिखना इसलिए कहा गया है क्योंकि वह घर की साफ़ सफ़ाई करती है। फिर पोंछा भी लगाती है और पोंछा लगाते समय कुछ लकीरछोड़ देती है, इन्हीं लकीरों को कविता कहा गया है।
