उत्तर: ग्रीष्मकाल में दोपहर के समय जब प्रचंड गर्मी होती है तब छाया भी छाया ढूंढने लगती है।

2. बिहारी की नायिका यह क्यों कहती है "कहिहै सबु तैरौ हियौ, मेरे हिय की बात" - स्पष्ट कीजिए।

उत्तर: बिहारी की नायिका ऐसा इसलिए कहती है क्योंकि वह अपने प्रेमी को संदेश भेजना चाहती है परंतु कागज़ पर वह लिख नहीं पा रही तथा किसी अन्य व्यक्ति को कहने में उसे लज्जा आ रही है, तब वह सोचती है की उसका हृदय उसके प्रेमी के हृदय से जुडा़ हुआ है इसलिए उसे अपनी अवस्था समझाने के लिए किसी संदेश की ज़रूरत नहीं है।

3. सच्चे मन में राम बसते हैं- दोहे के संदर्भानुसार स्पष्ट कीजिए।

उत्तर: कवि का कहना है कि बाहरी आडंवर से इश्वर की प्राप्ती नहीं होती, इश्वर तो हमेशा सच्चे मन में बसते हैं।

4. गोपियाँ श्रीकृष्ण की बाँसुरी क्यों छिपा लेती हैं?

उत्तर: गोपियाँ श्रीकृष्ण की बाँसुरी इसलिए छिपा देती हैं क्योंकि वह श्रीकृष्ण से संवाद करना चाहती हैं परंतु श्रीकृष्ण सदेव अपनी प्रीय बाँसुरी ही बजाते रहते हैं।

5. बिहारी कवि ने सभी की उपस्थिति में भी कैसे बात की जा सकती है, इसका वर्णन किस प्रकार किया है? अपने शब्दों में लिखिए।

उत्तर: कवि ने बताया है कि सभी के उपस्थित होने के बावजूद नायक नायिका आँखों ही आँखों में इशारों से वार्तालाप करते हैं।

(ख) निम्नलिखित का भाव स्पष्ट कीजिए-

1.मनौ नीलमनि-सैल पर आतपु प्रयो प्रभात।

उत्तर: कवि का कहना है कि जिस प्रकार नीलमणि पर्वत पर सूरज का प्रकाश पड़ने पर वह चमक उठता है उसी प्रकार पीले वस्त्रों में श्री कृष्ण का शरीर चमक रहा था तथा वह अति सुंदर लग रहे थे।

2. जगतु तपोबन सौ कियौ दीरघ-दाघ निदाघ।

उत्तर: कवि का कहना है कि जिस प्रकार वन में सभी जानवर एक साथ रहते हैं उसी प्रकार हमे भी इस संसार रुपी तपोवन में आपसी बैर भुलाकर मिल-जुलकर रहना चाहिए।

3. जपमाला, छापैं, तिलक सरै न एकौ कामु।

           मन काँचै नाचै बृथा, साँचै राँचै रामु।

उत्तर: कवि कह रहे हैं कि प्रभु को प्राप्त करने के लिए लोग अनेक बाहरी आडंवरों का प्रयोग करते हैं परंतु इश्वर तो केवल इस काँच रुपी मन में ही बसते हैं।
