The refrigeration cycle works in four steps, they are compression, condensation, expansion and evaporator. In evaporator the working fluid of the fridge will absorb the heat from the air and then the working fluid gets evaporated, then the evaporated fluid is going to the compressor, in the compressor, we have to give the electrical power. The evaporated air is compressed and then the evaporated and compressed fluid is going to the condenser. In a condenser, the evaporated fluid changes its physical state from gas to liquid. And during this phase change the temperature is released. And then the fluid comes across the expansion valve, here the pressure is reduced. Then the cycle will continuous the work.
When the fridge door is open, the working fluid will absorb more heat from the gas, so that the more heat is ejected from the condenser, then the temperature of the air in the room gets increased.

Note: When the fridge door is open, more air gets cooled and at the same time more heat is ejected from the condenser. Then the resultant temperature is maximum as compared with the temperature of the air when the fridge door is closed.
