JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria

• JEE Main Qualification: Candidates must qualify for JEE Main 2025 and rank among the top 2.5 lakh candidates. The eligibility is based on the category-wise cutoff set after the JEE Main exam​.

• Age Limit: For candidates in the general category, the date of birth must be on or after October 1, 2000. Candidates from SC, ST, and PwD categories are given a relaxation, and their date of birth must be on or after October 1, 1995​.

• Number of Attempts: A candidate can attempt JEE Advanced two times in consecutive years. This is a reduction from the previous rule of three attempts over three years​.

• Educational Qualification: To be eligible, candidates must have passed the Class 12 or equivalent examination in 2024 or 2025. Those who completed their Class 12 exam in 2023 are not eligible​.

• Foreign Nationals: Foreign nationals can register for JEE Advanced directly, without needing to qualify JEE Main. However, they must have passed their Class 12 or equivalent exams in 2024 or 2025​.

• Minimum Subjects: Candidates must have studied at least five subjects in their Class 12 exams, including Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, to be eligible​.
