  • Candidates who appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in 2022 and wish to reappear in 2023 for the objective of qualifying for the top 20 percentile cutoff will have to reattempt all of the subjects. The top 20 percentile cutoff of 2022 will be considered for such candidates.

  • Candidates who have appeared for the qualifying exam for the first time in 2023 and wish to reappear in 2024 for the objective of improving their JEE Advanced 2024 rank will not have to reattempt all of the subjects. However, their performance in the qualifying exam will be considered for their JEE Advanced 2024 rank.


JEE Advanced 2024 eligibility criteria for Foreign nationals and OCI/PIO candidates:

  • Date of Birth: Candidates must be born on or after October 1, 1999. However, in countries with mandatory armed forces service, candidates may receive relaxation in the age criteria based on their service duration in relation to Class XII exams.

  • Maximum Attempts: Candidates can attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times in consecutive years.
