The authorities release this cutoff after completion of the admission process at the institute. The students need to know the yearly cutoff as it enables them to understand the minimum rank required to secure a position in the IIT Guwahati ranking scheme.
Below is the graph which depicts the trend of cutoffs in IIT Guwahati entrance exams. Where a decreasing trend is observed, it implies higher levels of competition. On the contrary, a declining trend is a depiction of lesser competitive ranks.
In the year 2020, a declining cutoff trend was observed in many specializations of BTech programs. These include Civil engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical engineering, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Engineering Physics.
