An Overview of MHT CET 2023

MHT CET is a state-level examination that is conducted by Maharashtra’s Common Entrance Test Cell. Branched into several engineering departments, this exam is a gateway for admission to diverse UG courses like BE / B Tech, B.Pharm, and Pharm.D in technological institutes across the state.

Eligibility Criteria of MHT CET Counselling 2023 

Mentioned below is the eligibility criteria for the MHT CET 2023 counselling process. 

  • Candidate should be an Indian National.

  • Candidate must have passed HSC or its equivalent examination with at least 45 % marks. 

  • The minimum percentage is 40 % marks, in case of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section, and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only.

  • The Candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in MHT-CET.

 Or,

  • Candidate has passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 45% marks for general category.

  • The minimum requirement is 40% marks, in the case of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and PWD candidates.


Counselling Procedure

The counselling procedure commences shortly after the declaration of MHT CET result. Candidates to know the progression of this procedure can look into the steps below:

 

Step 1: Registration Process

After the announcement of the MHT CET 2023 result date, the first step that a candidate should take is to visit the official website and mention the necessary details. The details mainly include the following:

In case students have failed to secure their name in the list announced by their preferred institution, they can wait for another counselling session.
