In the Frasch process for the extraction of sulfur, superheated steam is forced down the outermost of the three concentric pipes. Superheated water at temperature ${ 165 }^{ \circ }{ C }$ and at high pressure is infused into the deposit by means of the outermost tube. Sulfur ${ 115 }^{ \circ }{ C }$ melts and streams into the middle tube.
Water pressure alone can't drive the sulfur to the surface because of the molten sulfur’s more density, so hot air is acquainted by means of the innermost tube to froth the sulfur, making it less dense, and pushing it to the surface.
We use superheated steam because the pipes are deep into the ground and when we make it soften or melt, it can come up without any problem and it is then collected in wooden tubes. After that, sulfur can be converted into solid blocks.
