NSEC 2023-24 Exam Result: Know Important Dates

NSEC exam result for the year 2023-24 has been released by the IAPT in 10th January 2024. NSEC Results 2023-24 Overview

NSEC 2023-24 results will be first published on the official website of IAPT. Students can view the NSEC results once they are published on the website. To check the results, the candidate must enter his/her username and date of birth as the password. The candidate's date of birth should be in DD/MM/YYYY format. Along with the results, IAPT also releases the NSEC answer keys for the students. The answer key help students calculate their estimated scores in the NSEC exam.

NSEC Syllabus 2023-24

The National Standard Examination in Chemistry (NSEC) syllabus is the same as the Chemistry syllabus of CBSE, ICSE, and various other state boards or equivalent boards that follow the senior secondary curriculum. Although the conducting authority has not provided a specific NSEC syllabus, students can follow the syllabus of Class 11 and Class 12 Chemistry of their respective boards.


NSEC Exam Pattern 2023-24

NSEC exam consists of two sections - A and B. There are a total of 60 multiple-choice questions, each with 4 options and only one correct answer. The exam duration is 2 hours and is conducted only in English. In section A, for each correct answer, 3 marks are awarded, and one mark is deducted for each incorrect answer. For section B, 6 marks are awarded for correct answers and no marks are given for incorrect answers.

NSEC Eligibility Criteria 2023-24

NSEC exam is conducted for the students who have studied Chemistry and scored good grades. Students of Class 11 and Class 12 can take this exam. Students must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the NSEC 2023-24 exam.

  • Students should have a valid Indian passport.

  • Students must have been born between July 1, 2003, and June 30, 2008; both dates are inclusive.

  • Students must have lived and studied in India since November 30, 2021. In other words, students must have attended an Indian educational system since November 30, 2021.

  • Students must not have passed (or finished) Class XII board examinations  in 2023.

  • Students are not allowed to take any NSEJS 2023 tests.

  • Students must not have started (or plan to start) studies at a university or equivalent institution by June 1, 2023.

Students can get NSEC application forms at their nearby NSEC center. NSEC application forms can be completed online or offline at one of the NSEC centers. The instructions given in the form will help the candidate to complete the NSEC application form accurately.
