1. How to Download The Sample Question Papers For NSEC 2022?
The NSEC original question paper is available on the official website of IAPT. For obtaining the NSEC sample question papers for their practice purpose students can download the sample papers for NSEC by following the steps as follows:
Step 1: Visit the IAPT's official website.
Step 2: From the home page, students will find the National Standard Examination section.
Step 3: In the NSE section the IAPT question papers 2020 and answers keys are available. Students can click on the links, to download the papers.
Step 4: The IAPT question papers can be downloaded by the students in PDF format for future reference.
Step 5: Alternatively, the students can also use the direct links provided to download IAPT question papers.
2. What are the National Standard Examination in Chemistry (NSEC) Eligibility Criteria?
The eligibility criteria for the NSEC is decided by the IAPT as follows:
1. Age Criteria:
To be eligible for the exam the candidate must be between the age of 15 years to 20 years.
2. Educational Criteria:
Candidates appearing for the NSEC test must not have passed/qualified for the class 12th Board exam or any other equivalent exam earlier than November 30 of the same year in which they will appear for the exam.
Candidates applying for the test are required not to apply for studying in a university or equivalent by June of the same year, appearing for NSEJS of the same year.
3. Other Criteria:
Candidates must possess or be eligible to possess an Indian passport issued by the Government of India.
Applicants must be residing & studying in India for at least 2 years or earlier before applying or must be studying in an Indian school for at least 2 years or earlier before applying.
3. What are the stages in the National Standard Examination Chemistry Olympiad (NSEC)?
The chemistry Olympiad consists of various stages to test the candidate’s ability for the exam. It has the following stages.
Stage 1: National Standard Examination in Chemistry (NSEC).
Stage 2: Indian National Chemistry Olympiad (INChO).
Stage 3: Orientation cum Selection camp of Chemistry (OSC).
Stage 4: Pre-departure Training Camp for INChO (PDT).
Stage 5: Participation in the International Chemistry Olympiad.
Except for stage one which is led by the Indian Association of Physics Teachers- IAPT, all the other stages are administered and conducted by the HBCSE (Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education ).
4. What are the prizes for the NSE Chemistry Olympiad?
The main aim of the National Standard Examination in Chemistry is to involve the student’s interest with the highest participation possible from the country and showcase their talent worldwide.
The top 300 students in NSEC are eligible for INOC, which is the Indian National Olympiad in Chemistry or the second stage.
Certificates are awarded to the top 10% of students in each center (the list of centers can be found in the ‘Application Mode & Process Section').
The top 1% of students in each subject receive merit certificates.
The top 1% of students in the country receive a special Merit Certificate and a novel for their performance.
Gold medals will be awarded to the top 35 students for their exemplary performance.
5. How can a candidate apply for the NSEC?
A candidate can apply for the exam offline from the nearest NSE center. The center where the candidate will submit the application form will also be considered a venue for the examination. The registration process is compulsory for the national-level test i.e. INO.

Step 1: The Students must first visit the NSEC centers. Students can also pick up their application forms at any of their local NSEC centers.
Step 2: After visiting the nearest NSEC center, students should collect their NSEC 2021 registration form from the center coordinator and then submit it after filling out the necessary information carefully.
