What is the dress code for NEET 2025?

Students who are appearing in the NEET 2025 have to follow the new rules and regulations as prescribed by the NTA. The exam conducting authority decides a strict pattern for the dress in NEET examination. To avoid any gap in the exam, students should follow this rule. All the candidates appearing in the NEET 2025 should make sure to adhere to these guidelines prescribed by the authority. The exam is expected to be held on May 2025. The NEET exam will be conducted only once a year.

NEET dress code for female 2025 should be light and half sleeves. You can wear simple salwar and trousers to the examination hall which are considered to be formals in the Indian context. The dress code for NEET should be decent and sophisticated- that is the main idea. NEET dress code for females consists of clothing, footwear, and accessories. NEET dress code for a male is also very specific. You are not allowed to wear embroidered clothes. For footwear, you can only wear low heeled sandals. The high heels, of course, are not at all allowed.


What will be the dress code for NEET 2025 for female and male candidates?  

In NEET exam dress code 2025, it is specified that they can wear half-sleeve clothes with low heel sandals. You are not allowed to wear brooch, flowers, badge, or jeans. Ornaments are not at all preferable for females in the examination hall.


NEET dress code allows you to wear light-coloured denim pants and half-sleeve t-shirts; the size of the shirt buttons should be medium. Kurta is not allowed during the examination. NTA NEET dress code has prescribed some strict rules for the dress code for each day of the exam. If any candidate fails to adhere to the NEET dress code they will not be allowed for the exam.

According to the dress code for NEET 2025, clothing must be simple. There should not be any embroidery or buttons. Girls must follow the rules of NEET dress code 2025 for female. You have to avoid all metallic or non-metallic jewellery. NEET 2025 dress code has approved customary dress for candidates who observe certain religious practices.

 

Therefore, the Dress code for NEET 2025 allows Sikh candidates to carry their traditional kangha, kara, kirpan, etc with them. You can wear a burqa also because NEET has made the customary items for the specified religion candidates.


Are jeans allowed in NEET 2025?

According to the NEET 2025 dress code, candidates have to follow the new regulations which have been made for both male and female regarding the dress code. As for male clothing, dress code for NEET recommends that you wear light-coloured jeans and a short-sleeved t-shirt. NEET dress code 2025 for the male has made it clear that clothes other than those mentioned in the code will not be allowed for the examination.


NEET dress code 2025 female suggests they have to wear a light coloured short-sleeved shirt. Salwars and trousers are also allowed with sleepers or maybe, low-heel sandals. Any deviation from this dress code for NEET 2025 for a girl will not allow them to sit for the examination.


NEET has made this rule in 2025, prescribed by NTA.


The exam authority has decided to have a specified NEET dress code for female 2025. Denim pants or leggings are simply not allowed in the examination hall. The NEET 2025 dress code for female though appears to be a little rigid aim to maintain decency and uniformity among the candidates. 


NEET entrance dress code doesn’t allow accessories

At the time of entering the examination hall, candidates should follow all the rules and regulations that NTA has prescribed to them. NTA NEET exam dress code: Concluding remarks

NEET exam is the most popular entrance exam prescribed by NTA. As a candidate of NEET, you have to follow certain criteria. NTA NEET has made a dress code of NEET 2025 which every NEET candidate has to follow. If any of the candidates go against these criteria then he/she will be disqualified from the exam. 


As per NEET dress code for male 2025, a male candidate must wear these:

  1. Light and soothing coloured shirts. 

  2. Slippers as footwear.

  3. Light coloured jeans are also available during the exam day.


As per NEET dress code for 2025 following should not be used by male:-

  1. Heavy dialled watches are not allowed to wear.

  2. Kurta, pyjama is prohibited.

  3. Track pants and shorts are not allowed.

  4. Frisking jeans can cause you disturbance during the exam.  But on normal days you can wear jeans.


As per dress code for NEET exam following things should be used by female:-

  1. Female should wear light coloured shirts.

  2. They can also wear trousers.

  3. Small light bands can be used to tie up their hairs.


As per the dress code of NEET the following things should not be used by female:-

  1. Dresses with embroidery and big buttons are not allowed in the exam.

  2. Big hairpins and ornaments are strictly prohibited.

  3. Heavy dialled watches are also not allowed during the exam.

  4. You can only wear trousers instead of jeggings and leggings.


Things to keep in mind:

As per the latest NEET rules and regulations, candidates coming in customary dress should report at least one hour before the last reporting time i.e. 9.30 AM. Ornaments like Ring, Earrings, Nose-pin, Chain, Necklace, Pendants, Badge and Brooch, etc. will not be allowed inside the exam hall.

Why NTA has implemented NEET Dress code?

In the last few years, it was found that many candidates broke the law and decorum of the examination. Therefore, the official members of NTA made a strict rule regarding the NEET 2025 dress code for both male and female students.


As the number of seats for NEET MBBS is around 65,00 and for BDS is around 25,000. By keeping this in mind, the officials have decided to avoid frisking time, they have released the official statement on 5th of May 2019. Even on the NEET Admit card, the details of the dress code will be mentioned.

NEET Rules And Regulations: Items which are Barred Into The Exam Hall

Students should not carry the following things into the NEET exam hall:

  1. Stationery items such as textual material (printed or written), Geometry/Pencil Box,  bits of papers, Calculator, Plastic Pouch, Scale, Pen, Writing Pad, Eraser, Pen Drives, Calculator, Log Table, Electronic Pen/Scanner etc.

  2. Communication devices such as Mobile Phone,  Earphones, Bluetooth, Microphone, Health Band,  Pager, etc.

  3. Wallet,  Belt, Cap, Goggles, Handbags, etc.

  4. Watch/Wrist Watch, Bracelet, Camera, etc.

  5. Any metallic item

  6. Any eatable items which are opened or packed, water bottle, etc.

  7. Any other item which could be used for unfair means, for hiding communication devices such as camera, Bluetooth device etc.


It is to be noted by the candidates that the centres will not provide any arrangement to keep any articles/items belongings of the students. As per NEET rules and regulations, if any of the students are found in possession of any of the barred items listed above, it will be considered as a use of unfair means. Strict actions will be taken against the candidates.
