2. कवि का मानना है कि बच्चों के काम पर जाने की भयानक बात को विवरण की तरह न लिखकर सवाल के रूप में पूछा जाना चाहिए कि ‘काम पर क्यों जा रहे हैं बच्चे?’ कवि की दृष्टि में उसे प्रश्न के रूप में क्यों पूछा जाना चाहिए?

उत्तर: बच्चों की इस स्थिति का ज़िम्मेदार समाज है। समाज को इस समस्या से अवगत कराने के लिए और इस समस्या के लिए कोई ठोस कदम उठाने के लिए कवि ने यह बात प्रश्न के रूप में पूछी है क्योंकि यदि ये बात विवरण के रूप में पूछी जाती तो इस समस्या पर किसी का ध्यान नहीं जाता।

3. सुविधा और मनोरंजन के उपकरणों से बच्चे वंचित क्यों हैं?

उत्तर: सुविधा और मनोरंजन के उपकरण से बच्चों का वंचित रहने का मुख्य कारण आर्थिक स्थिति और सामाजिक व्यवस्था है जिस कारण गरीब बच्चों को मन ना होते हुए भी माता पिता के साथ मजदूरी करनी पड़ती है। जहाँ जीविका के लिए इन्हें इतनी मेहनत करनी पड़े वहाँ सुख सुविधाओं के साधन जुटाना असंभव प्रतीत होता है।

4. दिन-प्रतिदिन के जीवन में हर कोई बच्चों को काम पर जाते देख रहा/रही है, फिर भी किसी को कुछ अटपटा नहीं लगता। इस उदासीनता के क्या कारण हो सकते हैं?

इस प्रकार की उदासीनता के लिए निम्नलिखित कारण हो सकते है जैसे -

  • आज के मनुष्य का आत्मकेंद्रित होना जो केवल अपने और अपने परिवार के बारे में सोचता है।

  • जागरूकता और ज़िम्मेदारी उठाने की सोच की कमी के कारण वे ये सोचते है कि ये कार्य सरकार का है उनका नहीं।

  • अपनी निजी जीवन में व्यस्त होने के कारण लोगों का दूसरी समस्या की ओर कोई ध्यान ही नहीं होता।

  • लोगों को कम पैसो में अच्छे श्रमिक मिल जाते है इसलिए वे भी इसके विरुद्ध कोई आवाज़ नहीं उठाते।

5. आपने अपने शहर में बच्चों को कब-कब और कहाँ-कहाँ काम करते हुए देखा है?

उत्तर: मैंने अपने शहर में बच्चों को फल सब्जियों का ठेला लगाते हुए, चाय की दुकान पर काम करते हुए सड़क पर झाड़ू लगाते हुए, निजी दफ़्तर,कारखानों में, घरों में बर्तन धोते हुए और होटलों में देर रात तक काम करते हुए देखा  है।

6. बच्चों को काम पर जाना धरती के एक बड़े हादसे के समान क्यों है?

उत्तर: बच्चे देश का भविष्य होते है और समाज का एक महत्वपूर्ण भाग। यदि हम समाज के इस महत्त्वपूर्ण भाग को उचित अवसर नहीं प्रदान करेंगे तो समाज उन्नति कैसे करेगा। सब बच्चे एक समान होते हैं हमें उनसे उनका बचपन नहीं छीनना चाहिए यह एक घोर अपराध और अमानवीय कर्म है इसलिए बच्चों का काम पर जाना धरती पर एक बड़े हादसे के समान है।

उत्तर: मुझे यदि इस तरह बाल मजदूरी करनी पड़े तो मैं अपने आप को कमज़ोर समझने लगूँगा। जिस जगह मैं काम कर रहा  होऊँगा जब मैं वहाँ अपने ही उम्र के बच्चों को मौज मस्ती करते देखूँगा तो मुझे बहुत दुख होगा। माता पिता की आर्थिक परेशानियों के प्रति सहानुभूति की जगह मेरे अंदर रोष उतपन्न होगा और मेरा आत्मविश्वास कमज़ोर पड़ने लगेगा। मेरे भीतर कई सवाल उठने लगेंगे। मेरा मन अशांत और दुखी रहेगा।
