World Vegan Day: World vegan day promotes the vegan lifestyle and encourages people to shift to a proper vegan diet. In the past few decades, the vegan lifestyle has taken a big space in urban lifestyles in many developed and developing countries. Many people following this trend believes that it is a healthy way of living and promotes sustainable conservation of animals as well. It was first discussed in the United States by Donald Watson on 1st November 1944 to introduce a non-dairy vegetarian diet.
World Tsunami Awareness Day: after the first tsunami took a toll on many countries, the UN officials put out a declaration saying that by the year 2030, most of the people and approximately 50% of the coastal areas will be severely affected by heavy storms, floods and Tsunamis. Thus this day is observed every year on 5th November internationally to spread awareness, measures and pre-actions to prevent and safeguard the community from destruction.
National Cancer Awareness Day: This day is observed every year in India on 7th November to spread more awareness about the preventions and new medical treatments that developed during the course of time. As per the UN report, cancer is the second health problem that takes maximum lives globally. In 2018, the UN reported 18 million cases of various forms of cancer patients globally, out of which 1.8 million were reported from India. In 2018, out of 9.5 million deaths occurred due to cancer, 0.8 were alone reported from India.
World Pneumonia Day: Pneumonia is the biggest infection that affects and kills the maximum number of adults and children every year and with the pandemic during 2020, the cases have sharply increased. In 2019, 2.5 million people died of the infection out of which 672000 children. In the year 2020, the death tolls have further risen by 1.9 million more than the previous year’s number. This day is observed every year in India on 12th November to spread more awareness about the preventions and new medical treatments that developed during the course of time.
Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Birthday: Guru Nanak Dev Ji was the first guru of the 10 gurus of Sikhs who have founded Sikhism. Thus he is paid high regard in the Sikh community and within other communities of India. It is observed as a holiday in India. Guru Nanak Jayanti is observed as a remembrance of Guru Nanak Dev and is also known as Guru Parv, Guru Prakash Parv and Gurupurab. This day usually falls on the full moon day of Kartik Puran Mashi according to the Hindu Calendar.
World Kindness Day: As kindness is the most important and undefined quality of human nature, thus this day is observed internationally in many countries like Canada, the United States, UAE, etc. This day gives us an opportunity to show our act of kindness and spread love and peace within our community and outside.
Children’s Day: As Jawaharlal Nehru who was the first Prime Minister of Independent India was fond of children, thus his birth anniversary is celebrated as children’s day in India. It is also referred to as Bal Divas. This day is specially celebrated in all schools, colleges and universities, private or government to spread awareness about the protection, rights, care and education of children as their primary and basic right.

National Epilepsy Day: Epilepsy is a neuro disorder of the brain that results in its malfunctioning in form of fits and seizures. National Epilepsy Day is celebrated every year by the Epilepsy Foundation where they organize various seminars, debates, programs and stage shows to educate and bring more awareness among people about the disorder.
Constitution Day of India: Constitution day in India is known as Samvidhan Divas or National Law day. In the year 1949, on the 26th of November, the constitution of India was adopted which was then regularised in January 1950. In 2020, India has marked the 71st anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of free India since the year of its independence.
