NCERT Solutions for Class 12 Chemistry Chapter 1 The Solid State Hindi Medium
FAQs on NCERT Solutions for Class 12 Chemistry In Hindi Chapter 1 The Solid State Hindi Medium
1. Why are solids rigid?
Solids are hard and rigid structures. Taking the molecular constitution of a solid into consideration, we bring the concept of intermolecular distance - the distance between molecules. In solids, this intermolecular distance is very less when compared with liquids and gaseous states. Due to the small distance, the molecules in the solids are very closely packed and have a tight constitution. Their positions are fixed. This is why solids are rigid.
2. What type of solids are electrical conductors, malleable and ductile?
Solids are of a tight constitution. That is, the intermolecular distance between them is very small and hence, they are rigid. A kind of solid known as metallic solid is formed through metallic bonds. These bonds act as a force of attraction that binds the cation to freely moving electrons in the solid structure. Thus, these solids have good electrical conductivity, are malleable and ductile, all at the same time.
3. Why should I refer to the NCERT Books for Class 12 Chemistry?
NCERT Books are created specifically for the CBSE curriculum. NCERT Chemistry books are the base with which a student can aspire for various competitive exams like JEE, NEET, etc. The book design strictly follows only the relevant and necessary details of Chemistry that students should know at their current level. Once the theories and concepts in the Chemistry NCERT text are properly learned, nothing stands in students' way to success.
4. Is NCERT Chemistry Class 12 pdf enough for 12th exam?
NCERT is more than enough to pass the Class 12th Chemistry exam, provided that students learn the text meticulously. There are PDFs of both the NCERT texts and NCERT Solutions available at Vedantu. The PDF follows the curriculum prescribed for CBSE as does the text, so the PDFs are enough to study and crack exams. Thus, NCERT materials are quite sufficient as they offer both basic as well as fundamental learning and are available at free of cost on the Vedantu website and the Vedantu app.
5. What are some important formulas given in Chapter 1 of Class 12 Chemistry?
Chapter 1 of Class 12 Chemistry teaches students some simple yet important formulas. These are to be learned for students to attempt problems:
Length of an atom in a simple cubic cell: a= 2r
Length of an atom in a body-centred cubic cell: a= r 4/√3
Length of an atom in a face-centred cubic cell: a=r 2√2
The density of Unit cell: d= Z*M/a3*Na
Packing Efficiency = 4d*Na*πr3*100/3*M
